We trade down twice and get Paul? Thanks every other team.

Seattle's offense might be very scary next year. Paul has elite speed. Big question mark around his frame and health but if he can keep that going, Seattle got 1st round talent in the 2nd. Loving this so far, hopefully we kill it with the late 2nd pick.

I thought we were sitting pretty good at receiver... With a hopefully healthy Harvin next year and signing Rice back I definitely was thinking O-line with this pick or D line... But hey I"m not the expert and not in the draft room scouting these guy's ....

I'm not sure Richardson will really add to the 2014 team. I think they bulk him up slightly, but not too much to hurt his speed.

If Percy goes down, then maybe he can step in on the jet sweep and bubble screens.

:agree: Great work done by Carroll and Schneider.

If he puts on another 10 lbs of muscle on top of the 20 lbs he has added and can maintain that speed, he will be a Percy type threat.

Slightly disappointed in the pick

I really wanted us to nab Jordan Matthews. Love his size (6'3), speed (4.46), and big hands.

I could see why Pete would love Paul Richardson though. One of the fastest wide receivers in the draft. Only ran a 4.40 time at his combine but I think his true speed is probably closer to 4.3

Tell me, are as surprised as I am at some of the WR still available?

Really surprised especially with Martavius Bryant and Donte Moncrief still on the board! I guess Pete and Schneider have Paul Richardson graded higher than guys like Jordan Matthews, Marqise Lee, etc.

That...or they got too cute trading back trading back and they lost out on Matthews. Who knows

I dunno, Richardson gives me goosebumps. I was hoping we'd take him in the 1st over quite a few other players. He is the closest to a Randy Moss type prospect (NO I'm not saying he is the next Randy Moss) as you're going to get in this draft.

He was ridiculous 1 on 1 in college on the outside. Don't see him as doing much in the screen game/middle field. He'll get murdered in both situations but outside 1 on 1? Yes please.

Schneider was quoted tonight saying he would have chosen Paul Richardson at 32 if he was unable to trade down.

And he should've. Richardson was the #3 WR on my board (beside Watkins and Evans). Just never thought a) he would've been available at 32 or b) Seattle would've taken him (was sure we were locked in for O/D-Line #1/2 after buying Rice).

See that's the thing. We assume that players can just "pack on muscle" to their frame without it negating anything else, but from what I hear is that Richardson once ran a 4.28 back in early Jan of 2014. Then in the combine he packed on some weight and muscle to his wiry frame and he only ran a 4.40.

Maybe he just had a bad day running the 40 or maybe the extra weight slowed him down.

I'm starting to come around to the Paul Richardson pick though. He may be only 6'0 in height but he plays much bigger than his actual height since he has such a great vertical. Still wanted Jordan Matthews though! But Richardson could be a game breaker for us.

In Pete and Schneider we trust

I like Richardson because right out of the gates he is a threat. Yes he will prob. get injured from time to time (or just have an injury end his career) but if I'm Seattle I wouldn't put any muscle on him to affect that speed lol. Sorry Paul, you're expendable lol.

Either way, soft hands, speed, and great vert, no knock on route ability = great WR to pick.
