Not saying it will happen, just that there is a history of teams giving up lots for a player they could get for much less. Hell Dallas gave up TWO 1sts for a WR. They did this twice.

Heh. Sadly your owner isn't the GM of the Broncos.

The Galloway haul ranks up there with the Mirer coup though, thanks for that. :)

But yeah, Gretzky got traded, so ANYBODY can get traded. That's a given. But still not very damned likely.

He'd actually had surgery to fuse stuff together no?

You also get that because it worked once, doesn't mean it'll work twice, right?
Romo is a better player then Manning was last year. So I think it would be a good fit for 2-3 years for denver and u hope by that time Lynch is ready. That team has a super bowl Defense and u can't waste it right now if I was denver.

And sure, if he can stay healthy it would be an EXCELLENT fit. I'd make that trade in a heartbeat if I were Denver, IF I knew he'd play 3 years.

He might not play one series, or one game, let alone three seasons.

You think I'm being facetious with the line about tying his own shoes, but I'm not really. And he has an unstable back playing NFL Football.

So when you say 'u can't waste it,' I agree 100%. Trading for Romo, and PAYING Romo, and not having him play a down of football for you would be wasting it. Hugely.

Yes staying healthy is BIG thing. That is a big Question mark but its worth the risk if I was Denver. I think they can get Romo for a 4th or 5th rd pick.

And how do you KNOW that Romo is still a 'better' football player than Manning was? Look at how fast the wheels fell off for Manning. There's no guarantee that Romo will every play a down of football again.

Okay, that's sounding better. 5th round pick, I'm interested. How much money is he willing to sign for?

good question. U have to put an injury clause in the contract. He has been hurt 3 years in a row I think.

But it's also what it does to your salary cap. How many guys do you have to cut off that D to pay Tony what he's scheduled to earn? Is he willing to sign for less for a chance to win a ring?

I'm not worried about the money from a profit/loss standpoint. Just from a cap standpoint.

Right now they have 7 mill in cap space so if they can free up another 3-5 mill that should get it done.

Just wanted to make sure that's what you meant. I've got no problem with that. I've read more than a few, 'they pump sound in!' conspiracy theories.

Nah, people have been caught for that (Falcons?), no need to take the risk.

$14M next year. No guaranteed money. Easy cut. $20M the following year but teams will already know what they have at that point.

Having seen Atlanta lose 3 games this year because of missed PI calls in the last minute I think it's safe to say the refs just aren't going to make that call late in games.
Yeah it looks that way. I still say if the refs call a PI in the 1st quarter, then they needs to call a PI in the last minute of a game.

Yeah if it's a penalty it's a penalty imo. Seems like it's been worse this year though
