I would do it. There are rumors Cleveland was the team, so I think your supposition is on the mark. The Rams today said they were offered a late first for Bradford but chose the offer with Foles, which gives credence to what Chip said.

My guess he goes to the Titans with the second pick.

Mariota had a shitty workout. If he drops to 12 Bradford is a Brown.

Not going to happen. If he drops to 12 he will drop lower. Who from 12-19 besides the Browns are looking QB?

I think he goes to the Titans with the second pick too. Of course, Teddy Bridgewater famously had a bad workout last year too.

I wouldn't. We have our QB. Why give him to the Browns?

Pro Day means nothing ... Teddy Bridgewater has a horrible Pro Day and did very well his rookie year. I can only hope his Pro Day drops Mariota 6 or 7 spots where we can trade up and snag him. The guy pressed at the beginning of the workout ... it's a completely different situation than players are accustomed to. After the first few throws he was just fine.

Bradford is on a 1 year contract.

Obviously Mariota is the best QB to run Chips system. Would you trade Bradford for Luck if he were a better fit for your offense? Why? Of course you would. Mariota is the Luck of Chips offense.

I see Chip trying to trade up with the Skins to get ahead of the Jets if he gets that far.

Would have to go up to the Skins to get ahead of the Jets.

Bradford to the Browns for 19 and then you trade 19/20 and next years first to the Skins for 5.

Unless you're doing things coaches want to see that you didn't do in college. Then they drop you because coaches there think you need a lot more work than they have time for. And he missed some throws most of the workout.

There's no pass rush, no blocking and no instinctive reactions in a pro day workout ... really quite useless other than some footwork. Mariota threw behind some receivers early (nerves come into play) ... no big deal. What he did in game action is 10X more important than this workout. Again, I'd love for scouts to drop him 6 or 7 spots because of a mediocre workout ... but his pro day likely didn't change a thing.

:agree:

Might as well throw Mariotta out there with one of those vibrating table top football games

At this point, I feel like we have plenty of cap room and picks to fill the remaining holes. I'm ready to move on with Bradford, as I was with Foles, and complete the team.

I'd still be looking for free agent S and OŁ and drafting WR very high.

In an ideal world, we get a Wisnewski (still available?) and a vet S and go WR-OŁ-WR in the draft.

I thought for sure we were trading up for Mariota.

At this point, I think the only way we get Mariota is if he falls out of the top 10 or so. Maybe not even then.

Gonna be interesting to see how far he falls, if he does.

I think he will go to the Redskins at 5 (or before) or fall to Chip at 20. The in between is a gray area and I think will result in a freefall the way Rodgers did. The teams from 6 to 19 are all potential playoff contenders looking for instant impact.

And add to that that Mariota is clearly not a plug and play QB for any team other than the Eagles and I think the freefall.
