The problem is it’s hard to see them actually losing a game unless they want to. That’s why I asked the question.

yeah, they're looking like a historically great team right now. we haven't seen this type of dominance since 1995 Nebraska

Don’t get me wrong, I hate them and hope they lose each of their next 4 games. But I doubt that happens and so I ask do they see any benefit in getting another SEc team in the playoff.

A 12-1 Bama that loses the SECCG would get in over Wazzou or West Virginia and it would be a hot debate with OSU, but I think Michigan or Oklahoma would be taken.

Valid points ... I think this is why we need an eight team playoff ... Alabama has shown they deserve to be in the playoffs and no conference winner should be left out. Notre Dame with one close loss should be considered as well.

I know it doesn't seem like it, but we actually do value SEC Championships at Alabama...so NO.

You are on drugs if you actually think they’d keep a 12-1 gump out of the playoffs. Especially if that one loss came from a likely top 5 Georgia team.

Disagree, hope we don't find out.

Saban throw a game? Yeah thats gonna happen.
When he does and still wins the title he's gonna leave and take over Kansas and in two years win a Natty there too.

Obsurd thread premise is obsurd.

A 12-1 bama gets in over every other one loss team. Again the committee will cite the eye test.
A 12- 1 conference Championship Michigan team and a 12- 1 Conference championship Wazzu team both on the bubble. Mike Leach and Jim Harbaughs reactions and comments may be more entertaining than the play offs. Thats potential comedy gold imo

A 12-1 Bama that loses the SECCG would get in over Wazzou or West Virginia and it would be a hot debate with OSU, but I think Michigan or Oklahoma would be taken.

I think UM would have a SLIGHT chance (slight as in less than 5%) to get in over Bama, as they have the #1 defense by a lot right now, their only loss would be to undefeated ND and they’d be on a 12 game win streak.

That being said — if Bama did get picked over them. How could you argue? It is Bama. They’ve been the best all year.

Oklahoma will have a loss to Texas, which looks worse with each UT loss and needed OT to beat Army. Don’t see any chance they’d get the nod over Bama.

I think Leach would be entertaining — Harbaugh isn’t much for press conferences. Half the time I don’t even know what is trying to say.

I would pay to see Leach's pressers if they win out. Harris has semd to tone it down but could be interesting. Theres only one Pirate Mike Leach tho :dhd:

Very true indeed. Leach would passively go off and then turn it into a discussion about butterfly mating or something totally off the wall like that.

100% of the time Harbaugh doesn’t even know what he is trying to say.

Why would Bama want the challenge of another SEC team in the playoff instead of a cupcake from another conference?
