We don't seem to get too high or low these days. I still think this is the best possible week to play the Jets.

Let's hope so.

We always seem to have big let downs right after big wins also, and I consider that a big win against Detroit on the road. We now come home to play a weaker team, after a big win, and we have not lost at home yet, so we are due.

I have confidence we can beat the Jets, but whether or not we can overcome our normal pitfalls will be the deciding factor. Example, look at the Cleveland game following the GB win.

Yes. I'm afraid there is a lot of patting on the back going on right now. This team doesn't do well when people blow smoke up their ass.

At least we got knocked down a bit on NFL Network last night, Derek Mason, Willie McGinest called the Bengals the biggest pretenders of the AFC teams with at least a 5-2 record, because we are not capable of making it to the SB with our QB.

Of course I have to sort of agree, but on the other hand, I am not feeling real confident about the Patriots and their depth, pretty much everywhere, and several of their starting positions. Of course, KC is a true contender with a defense like they have, and a RB like Charles, and a game manager like Smith. Great defense, great running game, good QB. We have those same elements, minus the great running game. If we can solidify that a little more over the next few weeks and get that part of our game working for us again, then Dalton can go back to be a game manager with tons of recieving weapons, which puts him ahead of Alex Smith in that case. So we should be alright. I am not sold on our secondary though, not like I would be with KC's.

We have the talent to be pretty good, but we lack somewhat in our secondary to stop opposing vertical threat passing games, or at least offenses that go 3 to 4 wide, and I worry about our running offense making us too one dimensional putting too much pressure on Dalton to carry this team himself.

Hopefully, the Jets are still on their high of beating NE.

Also, NE's defense isn't nearly as good with the players they've accumulated on IR, especially since they lost Wilfork and Mayo.

I think the defense can do enough to confuse Geno, the question will be if Dandy can do enough on offense against the Jets defense.

Early thought....20-13 Bengals....

I don't think the Jet's D is nearly as good without Revis. But I would take a 7 point victory even if it is only 20 points at home. A little worried about Geno taking off and running the ball, because the only LB we have that can potentially catch him is Burfict and he is nearly a .5 second slower in the 40 I think.

The Jets run D is great. 2nd in yards per game and 1st in yards per carry but they are 23rd against the pass. So we should be able to make some big plays in the passing game as long as out line holds up.

They give up points at a faster pace than yards. Probably because their rookie QB often turns the ball over in minus territory, putting their defense in awful positions. We need to make him make a couple of those mistakes.

If we can get pressure on him he will turn the ball over. We have to get that pressure.
