They played flat and uninspired baseball in the WS (except for that 9-3 win in game 3 on friday)....but it is what it is.

There's something about the extra rest that does bad things to teams. The 2012 Tigers blazed a path through the American League and then waited a week while the Giants kept playing. The Tigers just weren't the same in the Series and got swept.

Although he said he wants to be back next year with the team, I'm not sure if he'll be resigned by the Mets....but the good news for Cespedes is, the x-rays were negative after suffering a left knee and quad contusion,from a foul ball while batting in the 5th inning.
