Not to change the subject or anything, and I didn't see a thread on the topic, but...it seems Donnie baseball is taking his talents to Miami....and Bud Black is getting the Nationals gig.

Okay then....

Carry on.

and most importantly, Anthopoulos left Toronto

Most of the Royals are hitting well in this postseason and WS. Mets OBP .165 for the first two WS games is pathetic. Key Mets - Wright, Cespedes, and d'Arnaud are only hitting .171, .227, and .186. in the post. The comparisons tell the story. It will be interesting to see if the Mets can wake up at home. I originally picked NY to win this but I don't see travel to the big apple sqaushing Royals BAs and OBPs, so coming back will be almost impossible.

Royals WS .253/.323/.398; _post .268/.327/.440
Mets_WS .165/.230/.203; post .220/.285/.383

I knew the Royals were going to hit well this series but I really thought the Mets would hit better

They sure needed to last night. Two measly hits, and both of them lucky breaks due to Duda going the opposite way.

As bad as it looks right now, the Mets actually had game one in their clutches but Familia decided to be Armando Benitez for one night.

Hu never ever use a UVA flag during College Football Season. It will drag you and everybody around you down.

I think he's using that as a defacto "Versus" symbol...but yeah...he could go w/ Vermont or Villanova instead, no?
Heck...even Vanderbilt....lol

Maybe the long break after the Cubs series did bite them in the ass. Hopefully a little home cookin' and some familiar surroundings along w/ a loud friendly crowd at Citi Field helps to snap them out of their doldrums.

Me neither, but its interesting since everybody (Royals fans included) thought he was a moron 14 months ago.

He deserves some credit for their success, if for no other other reason than being a hands off manager

I'm fairly certain he's a good clubhouse manager, and there is something to be said for not micromanaging, but sometimes a decision is needed, and he seems to come up short an awful lot in those instances.

Yeah, maybe I'll use a different one. I'm about to switch it up due to venue change, anyway.
