If Lackey and the Red Sox shown anything this year, especially in the post season, it's that they are not backing down from anyone. They just have that mojo, that anything less in a World Series title is unacceptable. Again the Cardinals caught them when they are surging into the World Series and I have no doubt, in their minds, its like deja vu all over again. They are getting flashbacks to '04 and are already feeling the pressure.

Haha i used to post in the Mets official boards but haven't done so in years. So doubt it haha but I've been fortunate enough to work in MLB and watch different games across the country. The Red Sox have just been unbelievable to watch. Love them or hate them they have something special. Whether its the city itself or the role players they signed to light a fire within, the comparison from this year to last is day and night. It's really been remarkable following them this year.

Awesome thanks man!

I found a great site for following MLB, NHL, NFL, and NCAA games called movoli i know they're currently covering the world series. They do great blogs. It's kind of like twitter for sports fans. I'll check out that Mets site though. Much appreciated!

They've been something special for years.

If they had had a COMPETENT manager last year they would have won at least 90 regular season games!

BLEEP that nincompoop Bobby Valentine!

I have to agree with you about Bobby V. As a Mets fan i still have a soft spot for him but he just really had no business managing a baseball team after what happened last year. He was way out of his element and his ego got the best of him. So agreed 100%
