Same. That's why I never immediately react in a negative way when someone I didn't vote for wins and why I don't get too excited when someone that I did vote for wins.

Taking that stance...I've found myself somewhat pleasantly surprised (Bill Clinton) and rather disappointed (the 2nd George Bush, especially his 2nd term).

To me, it's similar to bosses at work. I've had bosses that I've really liked and bosses that I couldn't stand. But I've always respected their position whether I liked them or not.
Up until Trump that was the way to do it. But he doesn't respect the presidency or even the country. So it's different with him.

When there's nonsense like Hilary knows about being poor from Akron, when she's the same woman who said "can we move on to something that matters" (or something like that) after talking to a BLM member, and who is so out of touch with the blue collar that it cost her the election...it's pretty clear he's talking out his rectum.

When he tries to blame trump for Kaepernick's alternate reality bs.....when the numbers flat out don't support his claim...that's the same.

calling a billionaire who won the presidency a bum is just obnoxiously false.

It must be nice to be rich and be able to live in such a fantasy world.
Again: I'm not defending LeBron.

He has said many stupid things.

My point is, we don't live, weren't raised , under the same circumstances.

So, it really shouldn't be that big of a surprise that we see the world very differently.

I am unperturbed by differing opinions.

You, he don't have to believe what I believe.

But, we need to be tolerant.

Trump is different, that's all. Different than Obama, different than any other president.

Of course he is. He's an outsider. In some ways, even though didn't vote for him, I really like that about him. All of those stuffed shirt assholes on both sides of the aisle that have been putting their re-election ahead of actually working together to improve the country needed to be shaken up.

So, that part I like.

What I don't like is that he doesn't really have much diplomacy about him. At least not when dealing with Congress. If he had at least some diplomacy...I think the pushback would probably be a little less.

It's still the way to do it. I don't care how opposed one is to who won the Presidency. There's no excuse for not at least seeing what they do before fighting them on literally everything. None.

Do you honestly think Trump gives a shit about improving the country? You know he didn't even run expecting to win, right? He was trying to build his brand, said so in a leaked email before he declared. All he cares about is himself. That's just obvious.

Don't project your own decency onto him

Yep.

I learned that lesson growing up and it was reinforced in the Navy and the Sheriff's Department.

You don't have to like it.

But, if it's not illegal or immoral, you have to be tolerable.

TLF gonna TLF.

Only you could call building the wall a waste of money and then point out that there are too many places where people can easily come in without a wall.

The fact that there are places that folks can easily enter the country without a wall is the very reason we need a wall.

Any police officer will tell you that if a burglar really wants to break into your house, he's going to.

Do you leave your doors and windows unlocked when you leave your house? Do you have a gate around your property?

Or do you consider locks and gates a waste of time and money since a burglar can get in anyway?

Btw, the border patrol has said that there many places along the border where a wall actually would be very helpful. But hey, what do they know? They only deal with it every day.
The police told me that security cameras is the best security - and when I had a break in last month, they chased him over a wall which they said he jumped easily. Cameras and a presence of a security force is going to be your best option. Walls without security patrols are walls which will be over-come. One more thing - Security dogs also help. The same patrol with a few dogs is what works. I got concrete walls around me - the dude went by them without a problem - No granted, however that a ten foot wall would not be so easily jumped or climbed - Unless of course an earthquake knocks it down. One more thing - that wall cannot be and will not be built at a cheap price. The Davis Bacon Act which requires employees to be paid specified wages prevents the federal government from building it cheap and most likely, the government will want owner controlled insurance policies for both the workers compensation and general liability so that the government will be completely in charge in case of ridiculous lawsuits. Sorry but you're wrong

I personally agree with you.

But, devils advocate...

Do you remember when Trump suggested Obama was a Muslim and the founder of Isis?

He can't have it both ways.

He brings it on himself.
Not only that, it seems like he likes it. He loves fighting and Twitter wars and all that. I used to think he would never run for the second term, why bother, why deal with the hassle and risk losing? But he loves it. And if the economy is still booming in late 2020 he probably wins again.

Yes, I do. I think every President that we've ever had has wanted to improve the country. It's just a matter of whether or not their ideas for it actually work.

You know he didn't even run expecting to win, right?

No one expected him to win. That's a big part of why the left has lost their shit. They're embarrassed by their over the top statements about how he'd never win.

Whether he was looking to build his brand or not...he won and I think he does want to improve the country. Some of the things he's done have actually worked too. We just don't get to hear about those with all of the yelling from both sides. lol

And that's a fair point. the mechanics of the wall etc.

Plus with so many infrastructure needs.

And they could just give more funding to ICE to round up more of the ones already here. But the spigot does need to be cut off. But it's a fair question if the wall is the best way.
The police told me that security cameras around my house is the best security - I like my concrete walls though - they make it nice for privacy and it's easier to keep the yard clean - but I sound found some asshole sitting in my living room naked one night. Claimed he was a friend of some one staying with me, but she wasn't home - so I chased him off, then called the police when I see he had ransacked my house. He circled back around, jumped the wall with ease and then go stopped by the dog and his sharp teeth after I turned my flood lights on. Oh, my neighbor found his pants in his yard - and since he jumped the wall pretty easily - he wasn't drunk per police. Still the strangest thing I have ever seen - but the bottom line is patrols and cameras and videos is your best option on a regular basis

Trump is trying to force the democrats to fund it. Pelosi says no deal. It will be interesting to see who blinks

One more thing - Mexico told Trump to go pound sand - so when you're talking about new tariffs to fund it, they pulled out of California when purchasing Burritos and some other foods which they are now buying from another country.

Lmao at him saying Obama either doesn't have a birth certificate, because he wasn't born in the U.S., or under religion it says Muslim.

Like Wtf?

It's all so hypocritical.

I shit all over another sitting President.

But, stop shitting on me because I'm a sitting President.

Nice goal post move. He didn't deserve to have this crap start before he even set foot in office.

I don't think he's a typical Republican, but yes, he is being treated unfairly. The Dems haven't even given him a chance to see what he'd do. As soon as he won, they started with their "resist" bullshit.

Unemployment has been at record lows and the economy, for the most part, has been very good.

Does he deserve a lot of what he gets? Yes. But he doesn't deserve for the Dems to behave in a borderline treasonous way and his supporters don't deserve to be physically assaulted and kicked out of restaurants.
Considering how disrespectful he has been to people - I think the democrats gave him exactly what he deserved. To get respect - you got to first treat others respectfully - I went over three years without speaking to my sister because of her shit - didn't miss her one damned bit.

And he's another example of TDS. Cause that's not what he said at all.

But TDS....
He has said plenty and yes he did - when you grab a woman's ass without her permission - that is a sexual assault by the good ole boys in the locker room - last time some one did that to my sister when she was about 19 years old at the beach riding her bike, she caught up to the guy who had no shirt on, she took her fingernails and went down his back and inflicted considerable pain - and he didn't call the police either. He got what he deserved.
