While I respect the "blessed for another day" thing I see on Beal's twitter (and I seriously do), we also need that "I'm gonna take this bitch" mentality too. As comical as some might find Gortat to be, I am so thankful we have that kind of meat-headedness (for lack of a better term) in our line-up. It's necessary.

Don't get me wrong, I love the collective mindset this Wizards team has. (It's come a long way from the Webber-Howard-Strickland days.)

Still.. we can't be giving up leads like that, even if a team like Charlotte isn't the pushover they used to be, especially on their homecourt.

Fantasticals. I see we didn't let up in the 4th and had a swagalicious 3rd quarter.

Teddy Leo said 'playoffs or else'.. so here we are, Grunny and Witty. We got some players, so Grunfeld is probably safe.. now we just gotta have Wittman guide these guys through the playoffs.

62% shooting from the field? sweeeet. Now we all know that ain't gonna come on a regular basis in the playoffs (if at all) but I'll take it for what it is and exult in it!

Chicago was also playing a 2nd game of a back-to-back, so fatigue on the Wizards part isn't gonna wash with me.

Should I take solace that they showed some fight in the 3rd quarter? I guess... a little.

Too many more games like this, though, and the 2nd round of the playoffs is going to seem like a monumental achievement.

Going back a month, the only losses the Bulls have incurred are at home versus the Blazers, OKC & Memphis and on the road at Indiana. So they're no slouch. Really hoping we don't face them to start the playoffs.

Starting to think you might have the right idea, hokiehi. Let Charlotte catch us and settle for the 7th seed and, presumably, a first round matchup with Indiana. And I'm not thinking that proudly, let me assure you. It goes against the grain of who I am.

But shit, man, to get blown out like that on our homecourt? On a Saturday night, when the energy of the crowd is going to most closely resemble a playoff atmosphere? That ain't a harbinger of good things.

Come on Wiz. I know you miss Nene (let's face it, Ariza's great outpouring shortly after N's injury was nice, but fleeting).. I miss him too. But we can't be held to 10 points in the 2nd quarter.. any quarter. I still believe in you but, I can't lie, this was a really disheartening loss.

Nene might get some limited minutes off the bench tomorrow. Wittman isn't tipping his hand.

Tomorrow night's game will have some ramifications. If Bobcats win, they'll hold the series tie-breaker edge at 3-1. If Wiz win, they'll tie for the season, while holding the better division record.

Could all be meaningless as far as that goes, as Indy is limping down the line.

Well, bright side is Booker showed some take-charge when the team needed it. Team fought back valiantly, but, welp, 1 point in OT and there ya have it.

Ariza still suffering the effects of flu... why start him? Come on, coach.
