Not a good start to the season

Well, we added Gortat, Porter, Harrington and Maynor and we are still losing games. The Pistons game exposed our lack of a front court and the 76ers game showed a lack of finishing a game. Its extremely early, but things aren't looking good.

1. Porter's heath. Seriously, the guy looks like he is made of glass and got hurt in July right? Not a great start to his career. He was the 3rd overall pick and cannot get healthy as he has a "hip flexor". First it was his hamstring and now its his hip? He is losing precious time.

2. Nene's health. He is made of glass and will NEVER be healthy. I wish we would not have traded for him. When healthy, he is great, however, he is rarely healthy. I anticipate he will play in about 70% of the games, probably more along the lines of 60%.

3. Whitman just might not be the coach we need. I am just not seeing any improvement with the team. Not sure who is out there, but I think a younger coach would be a good thing. Brian Shaw would be a good fit here....somebody who can relate to the players.

4. We need to add an elite post player. We will have the cap space to do it. I would honestly throw a max contract at Greg Monroe. He is young, healthy and he is improving. He is becoming a premier PF in the league and would play well with Beal and Wall. No more aging vets in the front court!

Different year....same crap. Wittman has got to go! I hope we don't forfeit that 2014 1st rounder. We should honestly tank if there is a chance we will not get in the top 10. Gortat is a great player, but this team has post issues as Nene is not the answer.

the first round pick is protected up to round 12 ... but I think things will start clicking if & when Nene gets on the court and teams decides to play a whole 48 minutes.

Not to mention the #3 overall pick, Otto Porter, has yet to hit the court this season. I'm not expecting him to save the season ... but he should add some needed scoring.

He has lost the locker room. Wall is back and we upgraded at Center and we are still losing. I understand that Nene isn't healthy but that should not surprise anyone. It was a terrible trade for us.

Haven't caught any of the game, but I just saw the Wiz were up on OKC 42-37 at the half. Now that they're 2-3 and leading in tonight's game those fears I read at ESPN (Will the Wiz start the season 0-8?) don't seem as pronounced. They've got a tough early schedule.. if they're within a game of .500 after this stretch, I'll be content. Not enthused.. but not ready to get my torches and pitchforks out either.
