Anyway Pelini's not likely to be sought out laterally or higher.

He's got no conference championships.
He's not a great recruiter.
He's nationally labelled a hot head.
His teams commit a lot of turnovers.

His 2012 defense just gave up 36, 63, and 70 pts amid mass confusion.
His 2011 defense gave up 48, 45, and 30 (at least it was trending down :thumb:).

He's all of the above @ a program with similar resources, facilities, and a championship tradition.

If he was at a mid-major or a school that's historically known as mediocre, you snatch the guy up in a heartbeat, he's winning where he shouldn't.

Based on everything you said there, there is only one program he really fits at in the entire country.........

And he's already there.

Facing a vocal "changes" crossroads with the fans and media.

Does he also feel those changes are necessary, and is he capable of severing those ties?

Funny thing is, he'll produce at the very least another 9 win season in 2013.

So he can roll the dice for another season with his process, and on his coordinator's in training paying off.

I'd expect the latter.

I was thinking more along the lines of a Missouri myself.

That being said, I think he's earned the right for more time. Amid the negatives there are positives.

The guy's got to know 1) he's getting pushed around up front on both sides of the ball, 2) there needs to be more effort into instilling fundamentals on both sides of the ball, and 3) there are communication issues with his defense.

He has the resources and facilities to fix what ails them.

Biggest change has got to be on the OL, Tim's had to scheme around his shitty OL

I like Beck, but he needs to learn some risk management skillz.
