I think they should rethink that. I rarely watch hockey at all right now unless it's the Badgers or Olympics. If there was a Madison, Green Bay or Milwaukee NHL team I would watch all the time and actually follow the NHL. I have A LOT of friends that feel the exact same way that I do. I guess to me it doesn't make sense because by this logic then why did Minnesota get another hockey team after the stars left considering they would have already had said fan base.

I think the simple answer to your question is that Minneapolis is larger than Milwaukee and farther from Chicago.
Wisconsin has a hockey team. The Green Bay Gamblers won the USHL title last year. Congratulations.
Being I wrote this on the NHL forum I think my point was pretty obvious and I've already mentioned the Admirals as well.
