Hamstring strain. Definitely seemed like a guy we were prepping for a bigger role next year in hopes he develops in practice this year. Didn’t want to risk losing him by waiving and storing him on the PS, with bigger plans for him in the future.

With Gotsis and Walker ruled out gonna guess we use his spot to sign a DE. Maybe Sizer off the PS.

So...was it worth moving up in the draft to get Winfree?

I don't think he ever got a pass thrown his way in the regular season

Way too early to tell. I don’t think he was expected to contribute this year though. A project with good tools to develop.

Bummer. I hope he is fully healthy and ready to be a weapon for this offense in 2020.

Who knows how good or bad winfree is

We may have never seen Lock or AJ had it been not for injury. Both were deemed not ready based on practices

As soon as Denver hit 8 losses winfree should have been playing .

just like Sept call ups in baseball, play the young guys to see how they respond to real games.

Cept every WR in front of him is young and needs reps to develop.

Hamilton doesn’t he’s had his chances
Let someone else develop who may not drop easy TD passes

I'd say Hamilton was one of this year's greatest disappointments on the field of play.

Agree with this 100% but he has caught a smidge of wind as Crash stated. Gotta find out now if he can help you or not going forward. This is a huge moment for Hamilton as a Bronco these last three games. He played well last year late in the season. Gotta give him a chance to rebound from a poor season. He checked damn near every box coming out of PSU. Gotta let him play out the rest of this year to fully evaluate.

Hamilton looked better with Case Keesum last year than with Lock or Flacco this year.

Huereman has almost the exact same receptions as Hamilton and more TDs.

And he has played less games. But that isn’t the point. Hamilton has struggled but he’s a 4th rd pick in his second year who we need to know if he can help us bext year or not. Winfree clearly wasn’t ready and is now injured and hopefully can develop into someone who we may be able to rely on next year.
When Hamilton played well last year it was with more opportunity when Sanders and DT were both out for the season. He has played two games with Lock this year and while nobody is calling him great as Crash states he has looked better in his two games with Lock then he did with Joe Sucko all season. Might as well give someone who we spent a 4th rd draft pick on last year who showed us something late last year. It’s 3 games, we aren’t going to the playoffs. No better time then right bow to put him to the test. Give him the moment, see if he is someone we may be able to count on next year as he continues to grow or decide if he is someone we can’t depend on. Low risk!
