81-48.

Va Tech has a chance to become 82, next week with a game vs
Marshall.

At the moment there are only 12 6-6 teams and the number could
go as high as 14. (VPI wins and So Carolina loses to Akron)

Currently 7 of those 12 6-6 teams are Power 5 schools. 5 from the
Group of 5.

Which 4 get left out is the interesting question.

All conferences have X amount of bowl tie-ins. They get to fill
those tie-ins with 6-6 teams, to satisfy the league contracts.

6-6 teams in danger of not being selected would be ULM. Sun
Belt has 5 tie-in's and 6 eligible. Miami, O is another one in danger.
MAC has 4 tie-ins with 7 eligible.

Tulane should be okay, because the American has 7 slots and 7
eligible.

Wyoming could be in danger because the MWC has 7 eligible for
only 5 slots.

BYU, is the 5th 6-6 team from the Gof5 and they are an independent, w/o a tie-in. Their case will be to fill in for some
league without enough teams to fill their slots. (They travel well)

Go5 will have one team selected for the 6-elite bowls so that will
open up a slot for somebody.

C-USA has 7 eligible and 6 slots. One of the eligible is So Miss who
finished at 6-5.

For the Power 5
Pac12 has 7 eligible and 7 slots (that includes one elite bid)
Big12 has 7 eligible and 7 slots (that includes one elite bid).
Thus all of their 3 6-6 teams will get in. If OU makes the playoffs,
that will create another spot for a team from another league.
Big10 has 9 eligible and 9 slots. (That includes one elite bid) If they get a playoff game that would create a spot for a team from another league.
SEC has 10 spots available and 11 eligible (that includes one elite bid) They will have a playoff spot thus Vandy should be safe.
ACC has 10 spots available and 10 currently eligible and VPI highly
likely to be bowl eligible (that includes one elite spot) A playoff spot for the Champ would get the league another opening thus
they should get all of their teams in, but Wake Forest could be iffy.

There are 2 at-large spots in the 6-elite bowls, not including the playoff teams and one at-large in the Frisco Bowl to fill.

I'm going to guess Wyoming, ULM and Miami, O get left out
along with a 7-5 team from the MAC.

There will be a lot of wheeling and dealing over the next two weeks
to get good match-ups.
