They're still on the fringe of contention, but if they don't make the postseason this year, they had a good 5 year window when the two historically best NL East teams under the current division format, the Braves and Phillies were rebuilding without ever getting out of the first round of the playoffs.

They were the best team in the field in 2012 and 14 too. Just epic choke jobs against laughably inferior teams.

The franchise is cursed. The Expos were the best team in baseball in 1994...then the strike killed their best chance at a deep playoff run
