I honestly don't think they do as they end their season with Denver and Pittsburgh. I think they lose both games which put them at 9-6-1. Baltimore finishes the season with Houston & Cleveland while the Steelers got KC & Cincy at home

IIRC, Pitt/Cinci and SD/KC will likely be playoff playin games unless a weird scenario happens.

Well, you're all wrong.

SD and KC play each other. One will lose. That's 7 losses. They're out.

Buffalo loses in the last 2....they're out...and they play the Pats the last week.

Houston already has 7 losses....they're out.

The AFC playoff teams will be NE, IND, DEN, PIT, BAL, and CIN.

This is very possible but let's say this happens.

KC wins out and go 10-6.

Ravens win out and go 11-5

Cincy lose out and finish 9-6-1.

Pitt split their last 2 and finishes at 10-6-1.

Doesn't Cincy miss the playoffs in this situation?

In that scenario they would. Cincy wins 1 they're in.

Buffalo isn't beating NE. They're out.

SD and KC play each other. The ONLY way Cincy doesn't make it is if KC wins out and Cincy loses both. That's assuming Baltimore doesn't lose both...which they won't.

And I was at the game against Carolina where Mike Nugent missed the 36 yard fg to make it a tie game. Fucking bum. This shit shouldn't even being discussed.

Lot of moving parts here, but yes, if this occurred Cincy misses the playoffs- except Pitt isn't likely to add a tie to their record.

Buffalo is probably out but I can see KC or SD winning out. If both win this weekend (which isn't a stretch), it pretty much guarantees that Cincy must win one of their final 2 games to make the playoffs.

The tie is either going to help Cincy get in or keep them out of the playoffs

The scenario for Buffalo is pretty close winning out and the non division leaders in the AFC collapsing + KC beating Pitt. Not impossible, but I think it I saw it was 1:76 odds or something absurd like that.

No chance of Buffalo beating Oakland?

No chance of Buffalo beating NE. Cincy can only lose 6 games if they lose out. Buffalo already has 6 losses. 1 more loss and they're done.

I hope they beat Denver,.......but........steelers and ravens might end up taking the north/wild card spot.

All 3 North teams make the playoffs. It's fairly set in stone barring something crazy.

I believe the Bengals WILL make the playoffs but if they WIN a playoff game is the real question.

All 3 North teams make the playoffs. It's fairly set in stone barring something crazy.

To sum it up without listing hundreds of different scenarios

Teams that control their own destiny for a playoff spot as of right now:

If Pitt wins out, they don't need help for a playoff spot and the division.
If Cincy wins out, they don't need help since they win the division.
If Baltimore wins out, they ensure a playoff spot, but they'd need help to win the North.
If KC wins out, they ensure a WC spot and will not need help for that.

Teams that could get in, but need help:

If SD wins out, they need help for a WC spot.
If Buffalo wins out, they need a lot of help for a WC spot.
If Houston wins out, they need a ton of help for a WC spot.
If Miami wins out, they need a ton of help for a WC spot.
if Cleveland wins out, they need a ton of help for a WC spot.
