That's the problem, we haven't kept our top in state kids home the last 6yrs. Shoot the only reason Herman hired that loser OC Tim Beck was to get him away from Ohio State, he was recruiting the state of Texas like a boss.

That #17 class is the current senior group, and the 2017 class was boarderline top 25. But yes, Charlie strong and late mack didn't do much with these classes. Herman seems to be keeping the kids in state now, hope that trend continues. Defense is fixed, need to work on offense now.

The point is, top 25 talent doesnt mean shit if your coach cant figure out how to get out of a wet paper bag on the field! Nebraska has had a history of over achieving doing more with less, our internal football culture on the team was destroyed by the guy between Frank and Bo, Bo didnt care 2 shits about trying to restore it and our current coach is handing out participation trophies he brought in from the west coast. The right coach can come in and make serious moves. I am not naive enough to believe we will be a title contender (at least not any time soon) but we should not be getting destroyed the way we are, our defense has been anything but for some time now, last time it was even half way decent we had Suh on the team. Both Texas and Nebraska are banking on coaching changes, texas is doing what nebraska has been doing, nebraska is hoping the next guy can bring back some of the old school culture and get these kids believing and buying in.
