Will glossy, painted cars ever go out of style?

Yeah...thinkin' about that as an easy, quick way to freshen the old dashboard on my boat. It's such a PITA to take all the gauges out though.

Interesting, but the final product doesn't look that great. Don't know why you wouldn't just buy CF vinyl if you were interested in going that route.

True. I see this floating method used to put the good stuff on. Looks a little tricky.

A guy I work with coated his car in Plasti Dip. It gives it a pretty slick matte finish, it looks nice (if you like matte), and it protects the paint. Best part, if you get sick of it you can peel it all off. Done correctly, you wouldn't even know it's not a paint job.

^ How'd he do it? I'd assume you can't roll the stuff - so you can spray it on? I dunno...I've only used it to dip a wrench handle into.

yeah you can get rattle spray cans, which is what ive got....or if you're doing an entire car, it would probably be more handy to get gallon cans and a sprayer

If you are worried about rust under the bedliner material, just por15 it first

That would have to be one of the more expensive paint jobs you could do.

huh. Is that the shit with which you can make a boat out of an old screen door?

Putting that shit on the garage floor might be a good idea...if it wasn't $400.
