Will FSU lose to Clemson 2 years in a row and at home?

I picked Clemson and LSU for the title this year. Still could happen even with a loss to FSU. But I don't see Clemson pulling it out 2 years in a row at Tallahassee. College football is more even than ever.

Totally up for grabs.

I don't see it happening. We have a lot of guys returning that were really good last year and they lost a few of their key players.

I just hope Cook stays healthy, our young QB can run the O and our D is even better than advertised. Ole Miss has some Oline issues and I believe they are starting a true freshman at LT.

If Francois proves to be a good college QB after the first three games, I think FSU is legitimately the best team in the country. The disparity between Watson and Francois wouldn't be enough to overcome the defensive disparity and the Cook factor.

And that's the thing, he doesn't have to be great, he just has to be good. As long as he is somewhat of a threat, it will open up many possibilities for our offense.

Jameis was better as a redshirt freshman. He was very good actually. His sophomore year he threw way too many balls into tight windows and forced alot. Francois just needs to manage the game and gain some confidence. I'm hoping Cook goes off this monday and takes some pressure off of him.

I wouldn't put so much on Jameis's decline his sophomore year on him. He lost his deep ball receiver and most of his receivers were young and had not developed their route skills that much. He also didn't seem to trust his receivers as much. I'm sure Ole Miss's game plan is to focus on stopping Cook and forcing Francois throw, so if somehow Cook does go off it will definitely take a lot of pressure of Francois.

Our oline seems to not live up to it's potential lately. We're going to lose if our QB keeps getting hit hard every damn game and there's no holes for Dalvin to go through. It doesn't matter how good they are, a bad oline ruins everything. I've never been a huge fan of Trickett. I think he's just gotten lucky. Hopefully the bye week will help.

2 weeks to get healthy and to get our shit together for the 2nd half of the year. Having a bye week before Clemson is nice.

It will be nice. However, having NC State after Clemson is not good. Why do we always have them after Clemson it seems?

Saw/heard a stat that says our QB is getting hit/rushed/sacked on 28-30% of drop backs. That's absolutely awful

All the games I've watched the announcers commented throughout the game how much of a punishment Francois was taking. It's ridiculous. It's a shame. I feel like if our O-line was better we could easily be undefeated because it would help keep our defense of the field and give Francois and Cook chances to make plays.

Anyone know how Derwin James is doing?

Just realize that Clemson had a bye week last week as well. :gaah:

No update on James but it looks unlikely he will be back for Clemson. They think he will be back this year though. He isn't going to redshirt.

Clemson having a bye week is not good, but I don't know how they do after bye weeks usually.

Man our QB is the man of steel. What a beating this guy continues to take. Cook was awesome in the 2nd half. Bad timing on some penalties and a few bad calls by the refs. Wish Jimbo doesn't go for 2 on the last TD.

Good game though.
