To answer the OP, I think Clemson and Bama could be an interesting game. Last year was a very close game, with Kelly Bryant throwing two picks giving Bama two touchdowns. This year, both teams are better. I think Clemson has a better defense than Bama, but Bama has a better offense than Clemson (Clemson's is statistically better since Lawrence took over, but Bama plays better defenses - so I'm still giving Bama the edge there). I do think Clemson's defensive line will do a good job with Bama's rushing game. I think it ultimately comes down to QB play, and how Tua/Hurts do against Clemson's secondary (biggest weakness - #18 in the country here) and how Lawrence plays against a strong blitz. I have no idea how that game will go.

Murray is the type of QB Bama has always struggled with. But, a month of preparation favors defense, and I don't see how any amount of coaching can help OU's D. I think Bama beats them by a lot, like 63-31.

But Bama's the favorite, which they've definitely earned this year, though I do think they're beatable.

I think its more of the fact that this Alabama team was being compared to the 95' Nebraska Cornhuskers before the SEC title game. And these people were being serious....

They managed to squeak out just one more point than Umass was able to against this Georgia team by halftime. Lets not also forget that their messiah of a QB (who many Bama fans were acting like could cure dying children in Africa if he wanted to) had a game that literally lost him the Heisman.

The sky fell and it took a boneheaded coach to gift them the game, otherwise they would have been left of the playoffs.

And people are just ignoring that for some reason and still acting like they are unbeatable.
