I dunno. He is still young some team could take a gamble on him with a bigger contract just to get him. I could see it really going either way. With his age he might still cash in now with the cap going up.

Wilkerson does seem to always be in the negative spotlight with the Jets. Seems he has been a bit of an issue for a few years as they have always been shopping him. Never a good sign.

Teams with good established coaches who can turn players' careers around would be justified in taking a risk on a veteran underperformer with talent. Teams like the broncos would not be, unless they got him cheaper than they will if they do sign him.

Sounds like he is constantly late to meetings and struggles to give full effort day in and day out. 1-year prove it deal usually does some decent motivating to keep a player in line but in this instance I would rather pass.

Guys played hard for the Jets. The vast majority - they just didn't have the talent. Remember preseason there was plenty of discussion of who would be worse the Jets or the Browns?
