This whole $10 pep rally thing? Everyone else seems to be.

All I know is that with my Reds ticket package, I get 2 free tickets to both days of Redsfest. I also know that ticket holders get VIP lines for autographs. I also know Redsfest is open to the public. I also know that if I wanted to pay about $30, I could get a catered lunch, a chance to meet and talk to players/OWNERSHIP, and not have to pay parking or be outside in the heat. I also know that as a ticket holder, I have early entry into the stadium before everyone else. I also know that as a Bengals season ticket holder, you get plugged in the ass and are not even given the courtesy of a reach around.

These are things I know.

I personally see no problem with them asking for 10 bucks. FFS it's 10 bucks.

To me it's not an issue of 10 dollars (plus $5 for parking). Hell I just paid $6 for a fucking crepe today (don't get me started). It's the issue that your franchise/ownership has looked like a cheap piece of shit for years. You are trying to rid yourself of that image and establish a better relationship with your fanbase and to do so, you hold a long overdue 'rally'. OK, good. I would have opened it up to the public, but as it stands now it's supposed to be sort of an 'award' for season ticket holders...and then you charge them for it. With Redsfest, season ticket holders get in free and for public admission, all the proceeds go to charity. With this, all proceeds go to the Bengals' pockets.

How can anyone tell me that is a good idea?

It's a joke. It's not surprising, though.

There's nothing to discuss. This is who Mike Brown is.

I don't think it's a big deal.

I think they could have done a better job with it. Doing more like what the Reds do. Offer free admission to the season ticket holders, and then open the rest up to the public for a charge.

Eitherway, it's $10. I don't think that it's a bad idea at all.

I mean, the event also includes fireworks and a concert along with the first practice and a rally. I used to have to drive all the way down to Georgetown to a see a practice, and if I was lucky, get a chance to see fireworks. (4 hour drive).

1) Pep Rally
2) 1st Training Camp Practice
3) Fireworks
4) Concert

$10 bucks? Are we really complaining about this considering a fucking seat in the nose bleed section is $65+ dollars, and that is a f'n preseason game.

I mean still have to offset costs of teh fireworks and concert, which is basically the $10.

Not surprising. We're $16 million under the cap this season when in year's past we'd be much more under. Mikey's gotta start making up the money somehow.

Offset the cost of a concert that a local band is playing for peanuts and a stage set-up that most likely would cost $2,000 if even?

Yeah the drive down to Georgetown sucked, but what does that have to do with charging $10 for a rally for people who are already shelling out a shit ton of money?

I don't know. Was just a thought. A $10 event with a concert, fireworks, practice, rally, etc...versus one really shitty preseason game for $65 dollars plus. I mean seriously. Gonna bitch about $10 dollars?

I'm curious, if it were $15-$20 bucks, would it still be a "non-issue", just another reason for people to complain?

If the cheerleaders didn't need flea collars then no one would complain about the 10$

even the NKU volleyball team is better looking that the Cincinnati Bengals cheerleaders, how is that even possible?
