There's the real big one.

Harvick and Johnson are the biggest names involved.

McMurray tried to stick his nose in and that started it. Took out a bunch of people and this is probably Chase Elliott's race to lose.

That was probably just the 1st Big One. There will be at least one more as the intensity level picks up.

Gotta call that one a racing deal from first glance.

Couldn't tell if Jimmie Johnson came down or Trevor Bayne came up.

This segment stuff will work at Pocono, Martinsville, etc. It's always going to be a demolition derby at plate tracks. The truck and Xfinity races proved it.

Harvick was in that wreck but may be salvageable. 16 cars total. Looks like it is Elliot and Kahne, 1-2.

But on second replay, it does look like McMurray's ill timed bump caused Jimmie to get a little squirrely.

I agree Gopherfan. There is probably going to be another one before this one is over.

How about if the race comes down to fuel mileage? He drove the pace car at Indy last year and that race was won on fuel mileage.

Personally, and I know I'm in the minority, I like fuel mileage races. It adds a little drama to the race, and I think it's cool when a team that doesn't have a first place car can steal a win via pit strategy.

But a Daytona 500 coming down to fuel mileage?

Has that happened since a lapped Rick Mast pushed Harry Gant's out of gas car passed the finish line?

Agree with Gordon. More than 70 to go and they're trying to go 4 wide? For what?
