Not sure that I know the difference between the Eurasian & American Widgeon?

Euro's have a brown head and where american's have the green. Zooming in closer tho, it isn't a wigeon at all.

Got my 2yr old pup back on the water a few weeks ago. She made some major strides. Retrieved 9/10 without any issues. First duck she swam to but didn't retrieve (much like she did last year), so I had to walk out & pick it up to give it to her. Then the light bulb turned on.

Also got to take my eldest son with me, who is 8 years old. This was his first time in the duck blind. I'll make a hunter out of him yet.

Once. Absolutely gorgeous area. Never hunted it, but its well known for its elk hunting. Are you going to be on the Idaho or Montana side?

I'd say one of the downsides is the out of towners love to flood that area.

Idaho side. Deer tag is for 59A so I started my research there. We wanted a little change from Weiser, love it there but figured we only have 1 more year to hunt Idaho as a Non-res. If it goes to draw only, I'm not sure if I will put in.

You're going to love it. That Jefferson mountain to Island Park area is rich with wildlife. BUtts up with Yellowstone/Tetons.
