This is a great question....Who's The better shot blocker, Lebron (with a 40 inch vertical jump on steroids) vs Bird, (the white guy with a 10 inch vertical jump)....

Logic will tell you that of course it's Lebron....However, the stats are a dead tie. Bird .08 shot blocks per game for his career, and Lebron .08...

Ofcourse if you did a poll on Espn Lebron would win the vote as the best shot blocker in the league. That's because whenever lebron gets a shot block ESPN replays it 20 times a night.

Another example of how and why Lebron is so overrated...

However, I'll leave it to you guys to decide the better shot blocker. Bird or Lebron?

I'm saying Bird since Lebron's shot block average will go down as he gets into his early and mid thirties...

Who is the most worthless poster on this board? Well we all know it is you so we don't need a vote.

And how does one explain how the great defender Lebron, is not even a better shot blocker than Larry Bird? Perhaps Lebron is over-hyped?

You think?

You are talking stats.

not a fan of either player, but those stats can be deceiving.

Lebron blocks shots at the rim

Bird blocked shots on players that were goingup witno jumping abilityd h the ball, and blocked them (got his hands on them) before the ball was released from the players hands. Bird did not swat shots away, he had quick hands.

Todd MacCulloch blocked shots the same way Bird did.

I believe he blocked 1.4 shots per game in limited minutes for the Nets. He had no jumping ability, and no one was afraid to take it to thr hoop on Todd

Bird had a better career avg in steals and blocks.

Half of his career was played with back spasms.

Easy question Larry Legend

Who did MORE, with LESS?

We don't televise the games played in the park because they are doing more with less, these are pro athletes and their athletic abilities are why we are watching them in the first place.

Silly argument.

I think it's a valid point when comparing the players. Bird's "athleticism" is not something you hear too much about when discussing Larry btw...LOL

It is a point but not valid in this discussion because this game isn't about how much you do with less. It is about what you do.

If it were the case Spud Webb, Nate Robinson and Muggsy Bogues would be on the top of every GOAT list.

there you go, get schooled, call me a "feg" not sure what a feg is. You must be 12.

If you want to discuss who did more with less jumping ability I would have Bird as my GOAT under that criteria, but removing points from a player because he is a better athlete is ass backwards from anything we are discussing here or ever.
