#Bears have signed 5-time Pro Bowl safety Adrian Wilson and TE Jeron Mastrud.

doesn't hurt to see, but whether he can even run properly any more obviously is the issue with Wilson.

Wilson's one of my all-time favorite Cardinals, but he's washed up and way past his prime. I'd be surprised if he saw the field this year, but I'm pulling for him.

Didn't see this coming- He will be 35 in October. August 31, 2013 the New England Patriots placed Adrian Wilson on the season ending injury reserve due to an achilles injury. He was released by the Patriots on April 4, 2014.
If he's healthy enough he should be a nice vet to add something to this group.
Does this say anything about what the coaches saw out of the young guys they brought in this offseason?
I like it- would like to know the money- but I'm sure it's a one year vet deal. GO Bears!

Wilson's done. Likely just competition at all levels philosophy. If the Bears are starting him come opening season, :L

If he has anything left, awesome. If not, camp competition doesn't hurt, and he should set a good example for our younger guys.

Perhaps this says a lot about how MD Jennings, Mundy, and Vereen have looked. I hope not.

Maybe in a smaller-role splitting snaps or as a backup they can find a way to get something out of him. I don't know. Should be interesting.

Maybe they are signing him so he will be the defensive backs coach when he retires

He'll get cut.

Most likely, but he was 90th and final player signed to the roster. I'll take a shot at a 34 year old 5 time pro bowler, over some undrafted rookie headed for a career in the Arena League.

He got released from the Cards as a salary cap issue...he then got hurt and did not play the next season...he has to be better than Chris Conte

Pretty sure, you're better than Chris Conte.
