The coaches poll is a piece of shit. There's no way in hell that Arkansas deserves to be ranked over Wisconsin. Our best win is better, we looked better in our loss, and we looked better this week. I truly don't understand that.

When you lose late, it hurts your perception. It's already been shown that if you lose, you're going to drop. Teams that win, regardless of the opponent, usually don't drop. Wisky lost, therefore they drop.

I disagree; teams that lose early have a significantly higher chance of regaining votes in the coaches and AP polls later in the season than teams that lose late. When I'm not so drunk, i'll find an example, but for now, vodka and cranberry gingerale combined with the occasional Sierra Nevada win. Kind of like Texas Tech?

i would agree with that. But Oregon isnt getting a title berth over LSU. I dont think thats a possibilty. LSUs loss to Alabama would be a better loss than Oregons loss to LSU. LSUs win would be better than any of Oregons wins. And LSU would have the head to head. Oregon has no shot at a title game, it sucks, but its true.

I recall a very good game in which Oregon lost on a last second FG after a fluke run to get said SEC champion into FG range.
