I love waffles! I was never angrier at Allegheny College than the day they took away the waffle maker...

I can see why people are confused by the history of the Waffle. You see, two brothers who ran a breakfast diner in the 80's came up with the idea of throwing waffles on the ice because each individual square on the waffle represented each loss throughout the season.

Oh yeah, my bad. I guess it was two butchers from Detroit throwing Octopus.
