Who should win the League MVP trophy?

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles
Jared Goff, Detriot Lions
Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

Jackson and Burrow have the best stats. Allen has the more memorable moments and was the only team to beat the Chiefs in the regular season.

Barkley is on the verge of breaking running back records.

Lions and Chiefs have the best overall records. We could very well see Goff vs. Mahomes in the Super Bowl.

Where do you stand?

MVP stands for Most Valuable Player. It doesn't necessarily mean the "best stats" of the year.

Josh Allen will win it most likely, he’s had a very good season this year, leading the Bills to the 2 seed in the playoffs.

In my personal opinion, if the Bengals did make the playoffs by some miracle (since I’m pretty sure they require a Jets win to make it lulz) I think Burrow should at least be in the discussion.

I think Barkley has an outside chance as well, because breaking records can not be overlooked.

Jackson would be a clear option also if he didn’t have the pair he does already.

So do you think previous MVP’s don’t matter?

Because I have thought that it’s kinda weird that basically everyone says Jackson shouldn’t get it because he has two already.

If he’s having an MVP season, why can’t he have another one? Are people that say Jackson shouldn’t win aware of a trend in the MVP voting process?

I'm not saying it's Sam Darnold, but he has to be in conisderation. People were widely projecting the Vikings to be bad this year, and here they are in their finale game fighting for the division title and #1 seed with Detroit. He's had his mistakes, but overall, both he and theam have way outperformed expectations to turn them into the verge of contenders.

Allen. Lamar's stats are insane but he already has 2 and his team has lost more than the others listed, save Burrow. I'd scratch Mahomes & Goff from serious consideration.

Saquon. Both Allen and Lamar have been amazing but I think Saquon has had the biggest impact, without him the Eagles wouldn’t be nearly as good, he’s carried their offense and has had a historic season. So he would get my vote. But I’m pretty sure it will go to Allen since the award is almost exclusively QBs and he hasn’t won it yet while Lamar has won it twice.

Yeah if Barkley wins it, I don’t think anyone would be shocked. I don’t know how many games I’d say he’s personally responsible for them winning but it’s some.

Allen has done more with less to work with than other QB's. IMO

just can't see these guys voting Barkley when Dickerson didn't win the award in his record season.
I agree. Allen is more important to his team.
As far as Dickerson not winning it.
Wasnt that the Year Marino made his records as well? 48 TDs back then was unheard of.

He’s having a historic season. Can’t fault him for being the best player in the league year in and year out.

I voted Josh Allen because he doesn't have Derrick Henry.

But look at Joe Burrow: 48 Passing TDs + 2 Rushing TDs to only 8 INTs and 4.641 passing yards.

He's been sacked 44 times because his line isn't very good.

The Bengals have the 4th worst scoring defense(26.1 points per game) which means either his offense puts up alot of points or his team loses.

I’m not sure Saquon is the best running back on his own team.

He’s definitely not their most valuable guy though.

he has more of a case this season than his last MVP that was gifted to him by the media that he had no business winning. :heh:

I’ll never understand the motivation to dog the games best player.

There are a lot of you out there.

My vote goes to my Allen. I know I am a Bills fans and all, but I look at it like this:

- He's having his best season yet.
- He's only turned the ball over 6 times this season.
- He was able to outshine the Lions and the Chiefs
- The Bills are looking at the #2 seed with 13 wins in the season.
- The Bills team are second in the league in points per game.
- The Bills team is setting new franchise records and playing at the same level as the early 1990s.

With that said, the Bills making it to the Super Bowl is much more important than Allen winning League MVP.
