Who pays for The armed cop in the caged bullpen watching a pitcher warm up?

Taxpayer money? Overtime probably.

My gawd, what a waste of money, good for the policeman/woman (i've yet to see a woman. must be a man thing), but IT better be at the OWNERS cost, but then again, that will cost US anyway.

I still find it hilarious that teams get police escort from their hotel to the stadium. If you want to get their on time leave earlier. Why should I have no sit still in my car because the frickin braves are in town.

The organization pays the city for police escorts and pays off duty police officers for security. But I'm sure you already knew that

Teams pay for it. Usually even at the collegiate level.

The day they stop providing escorts is the day DiNiro kills DelToro, again.

RIP Juan Primo.

The teams pay for it. Just like paramedics and firemen who are posted on the sets of movies and TV shows. The studios pay for them to be there. Race tracks, county fairs, etc. have to pay to have emergency services on standby, too.

No, public funding does not go towards that.
