And what are your thoughts? I may be getting it today or at latest on friday. Just looking for reviews

I've read stories today that suggest you would be crazy not to buy an extended warranty with it. Sony and fanboys are shrugging it off, but it appears there are PS4s with the equivalent of the red ring of death. There's going to be some awfully disappointed folks on Christmas.

Uh oh. I can hear the PS fan boy YouTube meltdowns coming. Elpresador will finally have his long overdue stroke if his PS4 goes ring of death on him.
WTF is this blue line of death? Now I'm really thinking about getting the xbox one

2k went all out but no crew this gen. 2K15 will be the best especially if they improve the animations and add another deep mode.
Most PS4s seem to be fine, granted the system just launched 2 days ago so we really don't know how big of an issue defective hardware is quite yet, we simply know its an issue, and we now Sony and their fanboys are in overdrive attempting to blow it off.
The blue light of death seems to have 2 definitions. There's what it is, and what innacurately proclaim it is.
The inaccurate description is one in which it's simply an HDMI port issue, and a fix that can be made by making a slight adjustment to the port with a small pin. Some Alson claim one would simply need to buy a new HDMI cable, or a new TV, as if that's reasonable. While that problem exists, it's a separate issue.
If one has the blinking blue light of death, the system powers up, but there's no output to the TV. This seems to be where some are getting confused about the issue. If you have the BBLoD, it will continue to blink for hours. The console can not be powered off either. There's a trick that some have tried by taking out the hard drive and the reinstalling it. While this has helped some people, even their results leave something to be desired as early reports suggest that quick fix is very temporary for some people, hence not a true fix at all. This basically leaves one in the position of seeking a refund or returning the console to Sony and waiting to receive it back weeks later, possibly as long as 8 weeks later.
I wouldn't say people just shouldn't buy it, but avoiding one at launch was a wise move. When/if you do buy it, don't screw yourself, get an extended warranty. If Sony's BBLoD is anything like the RRoD, it could become an issue on a seemingly fine system, a ways down the road.
