Yeah makes total sense they fire Mel, I'm sure he was the one that said, " hey lets keep Felix" or " hey lets go get a bunch over never been pitchers and lets see if one of them can pitch beyond their standards"!

I was thinking about it more and the only reason I can really come up with is if Felix had issues with Mel. Really dumb but I could totally see them trying to cater Felix because Mariners. I doubt it was an issue with Servais and the other pitchers seemed to really improve under Mel.

Paxton, Marco and Leblanc have all praised Mel with saving their careers.
