I was a multi-time All Star.

I was on a team that went to the NBA Finals once and lost.

Upon becoming a free agent, I signed with the team that had just lost the NBA Finals. My first season with this team, we dominated the entire NBA and only lost one post season game.

Who am I?

I certainly never heard Laker fans apologizing for acquiring Shaq and Kobe. Spurs fans have never apologized for acquiring Tim Duncan. No Bulls fan ever apologized for adding Rodman to the team in 96.

The entire point of my thread was, of course, just to point out to the ignorant, uneducated masses of fans who cry for the good old days days where players didn't pull a KD.....

I think you could hold it against KD if he were 4th on the team in terms of his role and his offense. Posters with at least one functioning brain cell knew he was going to at least be the number 2 option, bare minimum. The fact that he had the Finals he had, absolves him from taking the cowards way out. He was the alpha on that team. If you're an OKC fan, you see what happens when Durant is allowed to take control as opposed to Westbrook.

In fact, one of those All-Stars they did have was a 32-year-old aging future hall-of-famer nearing the end of his run as an alpha scorer.

Correction: The Warriors organization shouldn't have to apologize for anything. Their fans? Well, a vast majority of them didn't even root for the Warriors prior to 2015 and didn't realize what kind of shithole franchise they've been for most of the last 25 years. Even that celebrated 2007 team was largely thug ball and overzealous fans that you could tell hadn't experienced winning in some time.
