I am Going to Illinois Game

Since it is the first game, I paid the most I have ever paid for a ticket.

I am not the front row, but I should be behind the Nebraska bench right around the 50 yard line,

Normally, I can score a ticket fairly inexpensively because the opposing team is known to be bad and their fans have given up on the team.

I thought about going, but I'm going to Wrigley Field the following weekend. So I figured I'd just save the money for that trip.

Stadium was about 35000 Illinois fans with 5,000 Nebraska fans.

Overall, the fans were nice. Two jackasses but a lot of nice interactions I had through tailgate, walking into the stadium, sitting in the stadium, and walking out of the stadium.

I wore my Nebraska face covering in.

You can talk in as many waters as you want as long as they are unopened and in a clear plastic bag. I took in two frozen waters and sunscreen,

They allowed my tophat and huskerfists in.

I was right on the 50 yard line, 3rd row up, basically behind the Nebraska medical tent and directly behind the warm up bicycle.

The Stadium SUCKED.

Ran out of water, ice, and soda pop midway through the 3rd quarter.
No one selling drinks to us riff raff by walking around, Oh, it was really hot. As in real hot.
Reminded everyone to wear masks, no one did.
When the game let out, the east stands with roughly 15,000 people were going out. Hmmm, some idiot has the football team, cheerleaders, band,, coaches go out the same side to run to their locker room and that end was closed off.
Okay, so I had to the south side although it makes my walk of shame longer, Some idiot closed off that end also because of vehicular traffic.

SO, now we have 15,000 UNMASKED fans walking out of the stadium being congested in a 150 yard long area, by 30 yards wide. I talk to the Illinois fans and they say there is normally an entrance exit straight across to the east. But they had it closed off for some reason.
