that timmy doesn’t make a big difference. Scoring more runs...getting more on base and winning removes the lifeless. With Timmy thats more likely to happen.

I disagree. One slows down to slide. He wasn't avoiding a tag in that play. It was literally a race to the bag. Every coach on the planet says you run through that bag.

i think that's a big assumption on your part. one player ... i don't care who he is, is not responsible for the life of a team. sure they miss him but if he's the only reason for their motivation then this team just isn't very good.
