Kind of a bittersweet loss last night (make that clobbering). On the one hand, I can never root for the Good Guys to do anything but win. Then again, if they have to lose, at least it's to the team that's currently killing it in the NL Central - in other words, not the Cubs. I dwell in small consolations these days, happens when my team is the laughingstock of Baseball.

Wasted yet another fine effort by a starter. Crochet goes 6 strong, but the pen can't hold. Of course it wouldn't hurt either if the offense came thru in the later innings as well.

15 is our team record. Cubs and Red Sox next. Both hovering .500, so we should be able to pull one out before matching/exceeding that record. Then again, this is the one of the worst teams in baseball history...so we'll see.

I did find it funny that he threw our 3rd base coach under the bus during his post-game.

I'm sure Pham knows he'll be with a new team within the next month or so. Probably figures he's got nothing to lose - in fact, this might get him out of there sooner and likely to a contender, which would make him one happy camper.

It's weird that you're not alone in this as I've seen this prevailing thought plenty of times so far this season...but yeah, I would prefer we not set futility records.

There's been 19 games since we were last shutout, so looks like we may be out of the woods for the shutout mark (yay!)

We've only won 3 of those 19 games...but the hilarious part is all 3 of our wins? Shutouts.

At this point the baseball gods are just f*cking with us.
