i won't be able to watch tonight. here's hoping keuchel has a good game ... for a change.
I usually call that every time the Sox see a weak left hander. It's always a possibility, though.Eloy will hit a homer tonight. Calling it. Book it.

At this point, I wish I was unable to watch....i won't be able to watch tonight. here's hoping keuchel has a good game ... for a change.
i agree with this. in fact, i think the pendulum of the wear and tear of a ballplayer has swung too far to the favor of resting them. great ballplayers from the past never needed the kind of 'rest' today's players are given by some managers. i call it "the wussification of baseball players". look at guys like minoso who played over 150 games in a 154 game season 6 times, once playing all 154 games! look at the difference in innings pitched by pitchers vs past generations. warren spahn averaged over 250 innings (mostly when they only played 154 innings) for his whole career. in 2019 verlander led the majors with 223 innings pitched. imo the "100' pitch limit is ridiculous! not that long ago it was common for pitchers to throw 130/140 pitches in a game. in the REALLY early days they threw 600+ innings a year!I get that the Sox being healthy is important heading into the playoffs but is all these guys resting going to backfire? Watching Vaughn play 3 times in 8 days and he looks like a different player. Not in a good way
what was our excuse for losing to a 15 under .500 team in the weakest division in baseball this time?Ugly today boys….
Magic number is 18. Grandal is playing out of his mind since coming back. Robert is blossoming. There’s positives too. Pitching has to be there though. We are not the perceived pitching juggernaut I kinda anticipated us to be after the first 60 games. That’s the biggest issue. Hopefully we can figure it out. We’ll see.what was our excuse for losing to a 15 under .500 team in the weakest division in baseball this time?
all because anderson wasn't there?
