Let's say Mayhew decides to go WR at 23 (entirely possible)

Perriman?
Beckham Green?
Trade up for White or Cooper?
Someone else?

Perriman, absolutely. I hear he's really fast.

I could see them taking Perriman or BG.

Nah... Don't see anything like that happening. He said he considered Ebron as his third receiving option and why he drafted him last year. So doubt he does it unless he has plans for moving CJ? Then you are expecting Mayhew to be planning for the future, so...

As soon as I read this:

I was going to say this:

Stealin' my thunder, Gandy. Just like one of those highfallutin' lawyers.

Have they officially ruled on what Devon Funchess is?

Just in case he has WR DNA I need to mention my lack of support for drafting him. (Or any receiver. We only have 5 picks, no toys to waste roster spots this time around.)

The very thought of this threads title made it difficult to even read. I cant bring myself to cast a vote.

Perhaps Max Williams should be added to the list of possibilities though.

We need another decoy like Tate, Broyles, Ebron and Best and Bush to open things up for Calvin.

Trade up for Kevin White.
A first this year, next year and our 2nd and 3rd rounder should do it. With our 4th and 5th already gone. We can just take him and call it a draft.

After hearing how close Mayhew got to trading up for Sammie Watkins last year, wouldn't surprise me. If WR was a huge priority last draft, what's changed?

Nothing. We need to build around Stafford. He needs more weapons to be successful.

I was JUST going to post the exact same thing Rob just did. If the Lions draft a WR in the 1st round, I will laugh my ass off. ESPECIALLY if they draft Perriman, though Perriman should fit in nicely with last year's 1st round pick after reading this about him in that article.

Perriman had 50 catches for 1,044 yards and nine touchdowns, but struggled with drops, posting a 14 percent drop rate according to Pro Football Focus.

Does this mean that our top ten pick from last year would then become our #4 receiving target?

I wanted to spit at my computer when I read how they want to use that top 10 pick as our #3 receiving target this year. What a waste of a damn pick. It is absolutely no different than Millen spending 3 top 10 picks on WR's -- instead of drafting a 3rd WR -- we drafted a pass catching TE, when we already have 2 guys under contract for big bucks, though Ebron's 11% drop rate looks pretty good compared to Perriman.
