Julius Randle is averaging 22.1ppg, 11.4rpg, and a very surprising team leading 7.4apg.
RJ Barrett is averaging 18.3ppg, 3.7rpg, and 3.7apg.

Alec Burks was playing really well before he got hurt. And they have some promising youngsters in Obi Toppin and Immanuel Quickley. Plus role players in Mitchell Robinson, Reggie Bullock, Kevin Knox, Austin Rivers, and Elfrid Payton.

Coach Thibs is their head coach, it's early but has the youngsters playing hard and actually playing defense.

Last year, they allowed 112.3ppg, 18th in the NBA.
This season, they are allowing 105.1ppg, 5th best in the League.

And they beat the Cavs, LOL.

The Cavs have an amazing duo at guard in

Colin Sexton averaging 25.7ppg and 3.4apg.
Darius Garland scoring 17.2ppg and 6.3apg.

Andre Drummond is in a contract season and putting up 16ppg, 14rpg, 3.1apg, 2bpg and bspg.

Kevin Love is currently hurt but when healthy gives them a stretch 4 who can be another scorer and rebounder.

Cedi Osman, Larry Nance Jr, JaVale McGee, Isaac Okoro, Damyean Dotson, Dante Exum, and Dylan Windler add depth.

And the Cavs lost to the Knicks.

Who do you have? I like the Knicks primarily because of coaching.

The knicks because they play in ny. If the cavs played in a attractive free agency destination then it is probably them
They have the market but when was the last time they landed a big FA?...even when they were making the playoffs. They seem to always overpay guys so the FO still seems to have issues. I will admit I didn’t think this team had much of an identity...still early, but they seem to have just that. Gotta wait and see on both teams.

Cavs might be picking in the top 10 again though...which I hope they do if they don’t make the playoffs. Injuries and the Porter Jr incident giving them no depth at this point.

Players-wise...The Cavs because while the Knicks might be better in the short term, Thibbs will eventually run all his players into the ground.

Thibs played RJ Barrett nearly 44 minutes yesterday in a regulation game. LOL.

Randle played over 43 minutes yesterday and over 44 in another game already this season. Both regulation games.

To be fair, he knows they won’t need to be rested up for the playoffs

I only expect him to be there 3-4 years.....but the Knicks are a bunch of kids and they should want to play a bunch. Vets are different IMO. They are used to being coddled......

Toppin is going to need PT once he's healthy.....I wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks trade Randle to capitalize on his hot start....especially if some team offers a 1st rounder and a few pieces to add some depth to NY's bench.

The kid Haliburton that went to the Kings was the absolute perfect piece for this Knicks roster, I said that on draft night. I see Toppin as a Stacey Augmon type, limited game from the outside, more of a fancy slasher type

not a huge fan

II think Toppin projects to be way better than Augmon. Maybe, not a star but a really good player.....but good enough they may trade Randle to get a 1st in next year's draft and a few players to add some depth. Players can always get better at shooting the 3 and I think Toppin will.

Naaaah but there is nothing in NY quite like when the Knicks are good, it’s an energy unlike any other sport

Randle has always been really skilled and now seems to have taken it to another level, I guess it’s Thibs because he has just been a beast

That’s it, it really is a basketball town first and Knicks fans are so loyal and are just starving
