Potato Salad is widely acknowledged to be the best possible answer to all poll questions, even pre-dating the discovery of the Americas.

Amusing that people are voting for camera cheating when all teams did/do it. If the Pats were the only team that did it, Goodell wouldn't have destroyed the evidence. He did it because it is prevalent in the league. It was and probably is still happening and he didn't want us, the fans to think less of the game.

I don't think that most of us are naive enough to believe that no one else was partaking in cheating but some teams were arrogant or dumb enough to blatantly do it at extreme levels or even after repeated warnings. I think most of us can agree that we don't like it especially if it lessens our teams competitive advantage. It's no different when the so called superstars of leagues get preferential treatment. I just want to see two teams go at it and let the best team win what's wrong with the? All about integrity....

Cheating to win has been the way ever since at least the 70s for pro football. Anyone remember Stick-em? Any angle to win without getting caught works for most teams. no penalty....all is good.

But that's narrowing it down to a player here and there which in most cases doesn't even affect a game...in the case of signals knowing the other teams plays can be huge. Try playing Madden football with the other guy seeing your plays unless he's a shit player he'll beat you more often than not. Actual outcomes of games shouldn't be allowed to be compromised...plus I'd personally rather beat my opponent fair and square not have some judge, stupid rule like the tuck one or ref give me the game.

70s? dude, read some history. home field advantage had real extreme meaning in the 30s,40s , and 50s too.

stick'em as a cheating example ? the new gloves they wear put stick'em to shame.

the ball just sucks right on to that sticky/rubber/what ever that is. I bought a couple pair a couple years ago from eastbay and so now I'm not as incredibly impressed by some pro's catches.

fans aren't allowed to be as bad as they use to be but home field advantage will always get you a couple calls no matter what decade it is..thats not cheating so much as just the human condition

I have no clue why or what that means but i'll agree with it

hahahaha

goes back to the old cBS days. It seemed like every poll that was created, potato salad was on option and, in many cases, was the answer most selected.

a cult thing if anything

I had to answer PED's, roids, ect....Watching another film is one thing. That may help out a bit, but it's not like teams go out and revamp their entire offenses after every game.

But, no matter what offense you have if the guy lined up from you or you are pitching to is on PCP, Roids or whatever, there is only so much you can do.

Yep its all bad but I tell you what I really hate it when you're about to play a game and you know that you have no chance to win...kind of like some casinos or all of them for the most part but at least they'll give you free drinks as they rip you off...haha! Either way its hard enough to beat some teams even when you are similar talent wise and it sure as hell doesn't make it any easier if they are cheating on a large scale. Do we really want sports to turn more into cheating wars and the teams that are willing to risk the fines/penalties win? In other words dance with the devil for glory? Or win fair and square where you truly know that you deserved it? I hate to say it but maybe its too late for that if the regular Joe doesn't call BS.

I'm surprised at how close the voting is. I figured it would be a slam dunk for PED users. I guess since most of them are doing it, the playing field is fairly even.

Yeah I think your right. There's something so sneaky and shitty about hiding in the bushes like the Patriots and then making excuses and trying to minimize what you did. If they had done that in college, they would have gotten the death penalty.

This just goes to show that a large number of people who are allowed to respond don't have any idea at all what they're talking about. Where were the "bushes" in the Meadowlands?? The Patriots were not "sneaking" around and hiding behind anything. Mangini saw the Patriots cameraman standing across the field with a Patriots logo on the freakin' camera. They weren't hiding. Belichick wasn't sneaking around he was openly filming the first quarter of a CBS televsion game. Then assholes from every team that's been a loser from day one started imagining stuff like hidden cameras in every stadium and high school football fields in the country. Belichick got fined $500K because Goodell hates him and Belichick hates him and ignored his memo. If the same occurance had happened with the Steelers being filmed by the Bengals, it would never even had made a blip. It was New York and the Jets are Goodell's team and he had a chance to kick Belichick in the nuts and he took it.

The bushes were a joke get a sense of humor. But if this was personal as you say why wouldn't have BB appealed this? At least attempted to reduce the penalties players do this all of the time. Even the Saints did. Maybe he simply got caught taking this further than anyone else ever had? Of course pats fans can't admit this as a possibility......

The Jets were caught in 2011. They were not fined.

if I was in his shoes I would have brought down the league after that farce.

A green vest should not be the reason between fine and no fine.

In professional sports, you are not doing your job unless you are cheating as much as you can get away with.

Fans just don't (generally) get it. If you cheat when we play cards I'll kick your ass. If you cheat when you are blocking for me in a pro game, I'll buy you dinner.....

To a certain extent. The shit BB was doing, is beyond what I think is successful. You just have to know the borderline, that was way past the borderline.
