Who has the mojo? Who is putting the pieces on the chessboard of NFL 2013-14 season?

NFC:

Seahawks
Saints

AFC:

Broncos
Pats (homer choice)

If you're talking about pure depth then it's tough to beat my Seahawks. Seattle is deep at every spot which is why they've been able to overcome a rash of injuries this season and still win games.

Take it for what it's worth I guess because I'm a true Seahawk homer, but even still I doubt you'll find a deeper team.

No love for the Colts or my really overrated at 6-4 lions?

Pats, Colts and Lions are my favorite teams but I think you were right to exclude the Lions, incorrect to exclude the Colts and Pats get in there by default. How do you miss the Chiefs? remember that the Broncos lost a lot of pieces (so did the colts) and they still have to go to KC for a game. Also Peytons record when it is chilly is pretty horrible. The Hawks are made for that weather.

NFC:

Seahawks - RB and defense bringing it well..a young QB though, might be playing over his head.
Saints - edge Sea because Brees postseason experience
Carolina- pretty well rounded in all areas

AFC:

Broncos (insane offense out weighs weak defense)
Chiefs- insane defense..Jamal Charles
Bengals/Pats are so equal

Colt have the weakest division...i like them in the future but look at that division.

If the Colts would play some solid defense they would be up there. Many would say the Chiefs are overrated and got exposed but I still think they're a solid team and Alex Smith was the right person to lead that offense. Guy is a proven winner, he may not put up sick stats, but he wins, yes it helps he has the best defense in the league, but he hasn't been terrible.

Broncos, Peyton Manning, need I say more? Patriots, Tom Brady, the legend, just gets it done even without no legitimate big weapon. Has Gronk now, but was winning before.

Seahawks, everything, run game, defense, pretty decent WR group, especially with Harvin back. Personally I think RW3 is a bit overrated but he seems to fit Carrol and his system well. It's working and i'm also a HUGE fan of Beastmode, so yeah, complete team there in Seattle.

Yeah missed the Chiefs, great what they are doing, really like that team but I had to pick one AFC team besides the leader and for purely homer reasons. Next week KC welcomes the Broncos, that will be a crucial game in that div.

Good call. it will be interesting to see Carolina @ Miami, Dolphins are a team that can beat anyone, they have proven that throughout the years. If Panthers get that win, they will seal the deal as a true contender, not saying they are not one already. Bengals is also a solid choice, but that div has taken a turn and all four teams are hungry.

Seahawks have less major injuries than most teams at this point in the season and are like kids on Christmas morning with their brand new shiny toy in Harvin.

I think until we see a couple of games with this new dynamic that it is hard to rank Seattle against the other teams at this time. Harvin has the potential to really spark a different level of production from this offense. Not just in his own yards and yard after contact, but also forcing the defenses to pay more attention to him overall which should open up other receivers and running lanes we currently haven't seen.

Outside of that I like the veteran post season experience of Brees and the offensive weapons and experience of Manning on Denver.

I think at this time it is very hard to tell. Some teams in the league are finally starting to get healthy which adds to the overall play of the team while others just seem to be going down left and right with some new injury.

Seattle and Denver are both great examples. Seattle just got back Harvin and is expecting both Tackles on offense back soon. This should add to the overall value of the offense that over the past month and a half has struggled at times. The Broncos are finally starting to get healthy on defense (still missing Champ though) and are now playing more like they did last year when they had a top 3 defense compared to a bottom tier defense they played at times like over the first half of the season.

Right now I would say you would have to give those two teams the nod as the best overall teams in the league. A key injury or two though completely throws this list out the window.

NFC...a no brainer this yr...I've yet to see SEA with Harvin so at this point I still like NO b/c of the OFC coaching.

Sleeper team is CAR...good front 7, Steve Smith getting help.

AFC...question is who steps up to DEN...NE is the obvious choice

Sleeper team is KC...I know, calling a 1 loss team a sleeper, but I think they will be 11-5 at best...do not think the OFC is ready to win a playoff game on the road/

I am still in a quandary over the Colts. I am afraid they have too many injuries to win today. Which is usually the time I am wrong. Still, what is left of the offense should heal and only Toler really hurts us on defense while he is out. If they can find a reliable receiver behind Hilton, who knows? I sure don't. :noidea:
