I really think Chip will surprise. He's in a chaotic south division that is seeing two other new head coach hires. The door is open, especially with Darnold moving onto the NFL. And they got Speight!
Tennessee's offseason was such a dumpster fire, I think they go into the season with low expectation and come out with a bad record.
I think Scott Frost will do a better job than the standings indicate. I think Willie Tagart's record will inflate the actual impact he has.
I’m going with Oregon as they have an easy OOC schedule and a weak cross division slate. Tack on the weakest P5 team out there is a recipe for the optics of success.
I'm bias but Florida State and Taggart will have the most success.
We open tough with VPI, but it gets easier before we close tough. By the end we'll be
playing with confidence. That will also impact our recruiting even more. At the moment,
according to rivals, we are #2 in 2019 recruiting.
Taggart has the name (Florida State) The state loaded with recruits (350 or so) and the momentum
going into the season along with hungry ballplayers trying to forget last year.
Pruitt or Edwards will probably be the worst. Frost is gonna be burdened by expectations.
I think Sumlin at Arizona can have more of an impact on the PAC12 than Kelly because
Sumlin has a QB that will fit his offense moreso than Kelly at UCLA.
Chad Morris is in a tough spot at Arky because he doesn't have any talent that matches
what he wants to do offensively.
Mullen will be alright at UF. They only need to win 5 to improve.
