lol....cmon now..use that lump 2 feet above your ass.

What was my last line? "Guys dont like giving up their Bird Rights".

Did Atlanta ever offer him a contract using his Bird Rights? If they DID where would he be?

thanks for trying though.

How about addressing my points? Your initial argument has more open holes than the Browns defense.

my point was VERY VERY simple to anyone iwth a brain.

guys dont like giving up their Bird Rights to just sign some where else as a FA.

one guy did it this offseason- Heyward. You know- the guy who didnt want to sign with Miami- who you signed Kelly Olnyk instead.

If a team trades for or resigns there player - they retain Bird Rights- allowing a MUCH larger contract. Guys VERY VERY VERY RARELY give that up.

Paul George for instance is gonna have an intersting decision this offseason---- leaving a non contender like the Pacers and giving up your Bird Rights is one thing

Leaving a team with RW- the best team that George will have ever played on talent wise- is a completely different thing.

abandoning RW and giving up your Bird Rights is a BIG decision.

I hope George resings in OKC and the Thunder have a great season- not only becuase i really like RW- but because that screws over LA and any chance they have at LeBron.

if George doesnt go to LA- they have ZERO chance at LEBron.

OKC's a shit hole compared to LA.

George seemed pretty intent on moving onto the Lakers. It will be interesting to see.

Again though, what about all of the other players listed? You didn't prove one single point with the exception of Lowry because Toronto's a fairly miserable place to live.

Durant had no problem leaving Westbrook and forgoing his Bird Rights. Your argument once again is shit.

If you had a brain, you'd see that.

LOL

one guy--- Durant- going to the best team in the league

just like this last offseason-- one guy Heyward - going to a great basketball situation that can win right away.

my ENTIRE point was that it RARELY RARELY happens- and my point has been proven true time and time and time again.

Guys dont give up their Bird Rights lightly--- MAYBE a guy or two an offseason---- but the VAST majority dont.

you keep hoping for that exception to the rule- you know what they say about that--- hope in one hand and shit in another and see what gets filled up first.......In your hand right now is Kelly Onlyk-- or as he as known as- a pile of steaming shit. lol

You're full of shit. A majority of the players you listed were TRADED. Paul George had no choice on being traded to OKC. He was ready to go to the Lakers if he had his choice and they're nowhere near title contention. Outside of Lowry, there really wasn't any players that chose to stay where they were to opt in for their bird rights in a shit market with the exception of Lowry - where the Raps are at least somewhat competitive.

As far as your pompous attitude goes - you've proven wrong time and time again as @TurnUpTheHeat and I proved to be right which is why you chose to puss out and not show up for weeks. You're a pussy.

are you really this dumb?

why do you think he TRIED to force a trade to the Lakers?

maybe because if he gets TRADED instead of leaves in free agency- he RETAINS his Bird Rights.

If you were George- and wanted to retain your Bird Rights but also wanted to go somewhere specific what would you do? You would open your mouth and whine a year before your contract was up and try and force a trade---- and leak that you only wanted to go to LA--- which is EXACTLY what he did.

It wasnt out of any altruistic motive to help the Pacers--- it was to try and get to the place where he wanted to be WHILE making sure he kept his Bird Rights and got PAID as much as he could.

now that he is on a very good team- and seems- at least right now to be pretty happy there---- we shall see if he will really put his money where his mouth is--- and see if he wants to give up tens of millions.

Gonna be FUN to see what happens. lol.

He didn't TRY to force a trade to the Lakers. He told the Pacers that he wasn't re-signing with them and that the Lakers were his preferred team. He likely was approached on contract extensions, which guess what, happens when a player is a year out from free agency. Again, you have no argument. Especially considering you're solely focusing on George and didn't bother mentioning the other players you specifically mentioned.

Also, on a different subject I thought Danny boy was willing to spend whatever it took to keep a competitive team together. A couple million for a GM seems like pocket change to the owner who has by far the DEEPEST POCKETS IN THE LEAGUE. LOL

You and your team are a joke. Enjoy that 1 title wiggity-wam. It'll be great seeing Kyrie in a different uniform.

I mean- we can all agree that if George resigns in OKC and decides he wants to stay and play with RW that there is no way in fuck all LeBron goes to LA at the end of the year right?

You don't think these players talk? Lebron could already be set on going to the Lakers, or at least get out of the sinking ship that is LOLand. If Lebron goes to the Lakers, I think George would rather play with Bron in LA then play with Westbrook in OKC.

You do have a brain, right?

your an idiot if you think Griffin left for money---- that was all about control.

if the Cavs get Porzingis out of it --- ill consider it a better fit for the Cavs - at least if LeBron is here.

when they talked about dealing Kevin Love--- yah--- i mean- thats an asset to trade--- but what big men would there be? TT? Thats it? Frye? thats simply untenable.

Kyrie Irving LONG TERM was always the best option-----its why part of me thinks- if LeBron was leaving why wouldnt Kyrie just stay one more year and be the man next year---- but if LeBron stays - Kyrie is going to leave- that much is clear---- short term--- if the Cavs trade Irving for Bledsoe and picks/young players like Jackson--- that makes them tougher against the Warriors.

It just takes away the long term viability as Cavs as contenders. I always hoped that Kyrie and LeBron would play together for 3-4 more years and LeBron would retire and Kyrie would take over--- Kyrie doesnt want to wait that long. That sucks LONG TERM- but in the short term- getting Bledsoe and JAckson for example- both better defenders- actually helps more against GSW.

Phoenix isn't giving up Jackson, it's already been pointed out.

It was reported that Griffin left in part because of money, your own boy Windhorst said as much. Billups was offered chump change for the GM position - and that was on top of what was going on with the Irving situation.

Knicks also aren't going to give up Porzingis, especially with knowing that the Cavs have a discontent all-star that doesn't want to be there anymore. Kyrie likely sees that the Cavs aren't built for his skillset, but rather Lebron's and when the latter dips, he doesn't want to be stuck with pieces that don't fit his skillset.

OKC as is probably still isn't close to topping Golden St. Why would George want to commit long term to a team with an owner that does anything possible to avoid paying the luxury tax; which is needed to win a title in the NBA.

hey- you can certainly have your opinion- even if its wrong

but what is fact, that we both know, is that NONE of them are going to Miami. lol.

It cracks me up. I think the last major free agent the Celtics signed was a washed up Dominque Wilkins--- i mean- if you dont count Al Horford.

All I have heard from years is how Miami is this huge free agent draw. Once again- they get NO ONE. excuse me. sorry. They got Kelly Olyk...oh yah- and resigned Waiters and Johnson - who went from being schmucks on 1 year contracts totaling less than 10M to being on long term deals totaling about 25M a year.

Now THAT cracks me up more than anything.

hey- you did get your "Alpha" though

Dion. lol.

They're not going to win next year, but with the pieces they have and the way their team is setup for potential success a couple years down the road; especially with Lebron being added.

At that point, what point is their staying in OKC if they can't win? At least enjoy life in LA and set yourself up long term.

which again gets back to the dumbest argument i have ever heard in my lifetime---

the notion that LeBron James at the age of 34 in December of next season will simply be content to "wait out" the Warriors in the last couple great years of his career.

And after next season, Miami's going to be finishing ahead of Cleveland. What's lol-worthy is you thinking your piss team was going to be in the Finals for the foreseeable future. Better enjoy the farewell tour, Wiggy, because Bron's gone after this season. I know by next year you won't be here because you're a pussy.

Why would he stay on a team that has no direction in LOLand? Especially when the one player he wanted to play with (Kyrie) doesn't want to play with him. LOLand has no room to improve (something that we've told you) and is cash strapped by shit contracts in TT, JR, Shump, etc.. I remember all of those posts you defending those contracts, particularly TT. Then for other basketball analysts to come in and knock the contract was priceless. LOL

And this is why you don't let Lebron run your franchise.
