Where I think we'll be ranked tomorrow

Just taking a stab at it. After having a nice bye week for the players to heal up and sit around watch some football, I believe we managed to grab a couple of spots in both the AP and Coaches Polls.

In the AP Poll we will obviously jump GT and Michigan. I don't see anyone from behind us jumping us. Two teams that would have the best chance would be Kansas State and Michigan State. I think we'll be #12 in the AP.

In the Coaches Poll, we will again jump GT and Michigan and again Kansas State and Michigan State will creep up on us. Now, we were only 7 points behind South Carolina last week in the Coaches Poll. 7 points is as little as one ballot. There is a chance that we could somehow jump South Carolina now that they are somewhat in disarray (losing Garcia and Lattimore). I'm going out on a limb, but I think we will be #11 in the Coaches. Yes, #11 after a bye week.

Also as for where we are ranked. This is not on you JJM but I am just generally saying this. Every year I fail to see why anyone cares where anyone is ranked in the AP poll. It is completely irrelevant. The only poll that matters in the BCS poll and the AP poll does not factor into it. So who the fuck cares about that poll? It means nothing.

Sure...... They'll beat Kansas next week, but they will lose the next 4 games(OU, OSU, A&M and Texas) getting blown out in 3 of them..... They might have a boxers chance vs Texas, but I doubt it.....

Not really a limb...South Carolina was like 10 votes ahead of us in the coaches and played poorly/barely won. Not a stretch Nebraska would jump them.

yeah I know it's not really going out on a major limb, but very rarely do you ever see a team on a bye week pass a team ahead of them who won. odds were definitely greater that we would not pass south carolina. I mean shit.....they are even an SEC team! SEC teams always get the nod.
