I need my hockey fix. Is there a place I can see when the teams open camp?
come to LA
The 2011 Kings Rookie Camp will take place from September 10-13. These practices will be open to the public free of charge. The Rookie Tournament will take place September 14 at 6 p.m. and September 15 at 2 p.m.
I just looked around and I can't find a listing by team anywhere, Boss. I think generally, rookies start about a week from now and all players report in about two weeks (varying by a couple days here and there).

September 15th is the rookie game, Flyers vs Caps.
Too bad it's in Philly now...
red wings training camp starts the 17th. Everybody better enjoy this season because there will probably be another lockout next year

To hell with that. They better not fuck this up, again.
I predicted problems a few years ago and repeated them when the cap went up 38% at the time. You can not have a lockout over revenues and then have ONE good year in profits then jack up the Cap. There isnt a sane business person in the world that would be so stupid and do that. There are up's and downs and the NHLPA only see the up's and the owners the down's.
I made a long post about this a couple of times and tried to tell some people this is not the way to go. If I get time I will try and find it and I also said the NFL would have problems with their revenue sharing and I was right about that too even though they Okay-ed it 30-2 a couple years ago. Well guess what? the TWO were right and that's why the NFL had to modify it this year.
I will bet anyone that thinks I'm wrong on this.
This is coming from a fan of a team that has an owner that spends money like crazy. So as a couple posters at the time told be I am not being bitter because the Sabres are in a small market. It's pure common sense. Keep the playing field level or the league is fucked!
I was just reading the article about the cba in the hockeynews yearbook and it made me depressed. The owners got the exact system that they wanted in this current cba and they are probably going to ask for the players to give up even more in the next cba. that isn't going to sit well with the players.
