4 of the 5 starters on the o/line have less then 13 career starts maybe that is an issue

A point we continually gloss over. Cohesion does take time. And Ribeye is not a NFL caliber starting Center. Hard to imagine he's much help diagnosing defenses, blitzes and/or stunts.

I hope that this is not part of your RG3 related agenda. If so - you are wasting your time. Again - the offense was to blame, but it was primarily due to poor offensive line play & yes stellar play from the Cowboys defense.

No RGIII agenda, that's for guys who want to divert attention away from the stated topic. However, ( and this is no criticism of KC either) who was that guy trying to console and put DJax back into a football frame of mind immediately after he took the scenic route ending in a fumble?

Who cares. I have never questioned RG3 and his dedication to the team nor have I bought into him being a bad guy (I have defended him many times). I am simply talking about the fact that he is not in their future plans. You also have to be pretty naive to not believe that your topic wouldn't bring about these types of responses.

Anyhow - doesn't matter - Cousins - flaws and all is the starter for next season barring a major collapse by him over the next 4 weeks.

BTW - I don't believe that Jackson needed consoling. His actions were very calculated & I don't really think that he really felt that bad. That is both a good & bad thing & being this type of personality it helped him in scoring the tying TD. However - it was still a very, very stupid move on his part especially his carelessness with the ball. Some may argue that in this situation he didn't need consoling but rather a swift kick in the ass.

Almighty Cousins .... that shit is funny. Cousins was average in this last game. Some of the stink goes on everyone including the coaching staff.

But when I see a thread after the game blaming him I have to think that's like country's 6 year line "it's the play calling and the coaches suck." Anyone chart the game? What was the Redskins best formation. Not just last night but most of the season. Answer: empty backfield, 4 WRs and Reed WCO (short routes.) I know, I know everyone wants 45728357 long passes a game. Skins don't block it well. What else worked well in the 2nd half? Rollout!!! Some real analysis goes a long way. I am not telling you he is the answer, he is all you have this year and possible next year. Got a better plan lets hear it?

I think he was below average but the point is that for even admitting the possibility Cousins isnt amazing, people jump all over you. Everyone is so damn protective of him - it's weird.

As for other plans Im sure you've seen my thoughts in other threads.

Besides maybe one or two posters here nobody is stating that Cousins is amazing especially on a consistent basis. Even our biggest KC supporter here stated that he had a bad game the other nt.

I think a lot of folks here don't think that KC is a top ten QB. However - probably correctly - they believe that he is the best option for this team for the next few seasons.

There's a reason why I personally don't buy the stick with Kirk for the next few seasons mantra, but until now it appeared as if I was swimming against the tide. On Monday past Kirk himself supported my position when he stated, as I have all along that he is not prepared to change a play at the LOS.( Monday morning QB WTEM) Something or someone is holding him back.

Why that is the case is not nearly as important as the fact that it is. Any reasonable answer to that question leads to one of two possible conclusions, neither of them good for Kirk and/or the team.

You know, you guys win... we should let Kirk walk. Its best for the team to either draft a QB, or keep the guy we do currently have under contract and let him start. We need to fire Gruden as well.

Art Brilles for HC 2016!!! Lets get it started!!!!!

Nobody's remotely suggesting that Kirk should walk, but what I've read over and over again are disingenuous responses to valid questions with concern to what we are getting from this team (all inclusive) As Breed said it's weird how quick the recoil is with the mere mention of his name in any way other than in glowing terms. Reminds me of the whole Kai Forbath thing. One thing that is consistent with you guys is.............you never respond directly to the point made or question(s) asked. It's always some nonsense like this.......good diversion though!

Dude, the Mention of Cousins name does not have to be in glowing terms. But realistic from a certain portion of the fan base would be unexpectedly pleasant. I have called it out before, the ones who seem to always have a negative or at BEST mediocre grade on Cousins are also the ones who were in love with the previous starter in most cases. IF you walk into the theater expecting the Movie to suck, most likely you are NOT going to be able to find anything other than it sucked or at best... well it was OK.

So no, its not deflection. Its reality. In the minds of some Kirk will have to become a franchise QB over the next two months to simply be OK.

I've seen enough of this season to now confidently say about him something that I've said about Griffin. He is not being used properly. Maybe there's an insistence on staying with a particular style but Kirk has a decent set of wheels. Considering our inexperience at the OL employing more rollouts and boots could help mask some of those deficiencies and give our offense an added dynamic it so sorely needs.

What is next for Kirk? The Chicago Bears, more learning experiences, probably another mistake or 2 and continued growth. Just what you hope to have in your young QB. KC may not be the long term answer, but is is by far not the problem with this team. Why is it always the same posters that SEEM to always want to deflect the real issues on this team to KC? Now these posters are smart enough to veil their disdain for KC (primarily, as shark pointed out, because he replaced the chosen one) in posts like this. If everyone were truly objective and looked at KCs performance this year, they would see that he is growing and making strides (curiously I haven't seen anyone mention how he drove the team down the field for a score at the end of the game). Let's just let him play this out before we determine if he is the answer to our QB delimma for the next few years.
