Whats going to be the bigger rivalry?

Going into the big 10 I was just wanderin what people think will be the bigger rivalry. Michigan being the two most tradition rich programs in college football history or Iowa being a border state?

Iowa will be our biggest rival. Michigan can not because they aren't one of our "protected" games. If Penn St can survive the loss of JoePa, then they could easily beat out Iowa as a rival.

I would love for Penn St. to step up as well. They would make for a bigger time rival and it just feels like a good fit.

With the thanksgiving day game though, Iowa will immediately be our rival and it will stay that way for a while.

however, wisky and penn st could very easily be bigger and better rivals than iowa,

I would guess Iowa, it will take some time to tell, not like CU just saying "Hey your our rivals"
Michigan is down but Hoke will build them up again, OSU's troubles will land them a few more recruits than normal but not too many, the football hate between those two states is incredible

For some reason i have a feeling that the annual game against Michigan will become a big rivalry. But beings the Iowa game takes the place of the old colorado game i could see how it would be a bigger rivalry game than anyone else.

It isn't because it takes the place of the Colorado game. It is because they are right next door. That Iowa game could be the first game and it would be just as big.

at the end of the season, both teams need a big win either to get to the big 10 CG or to solidify a solid bowl game, and with them being our neighbor, those types of reasons r y iowa will be our biggest rival
