say the devils do trade down...colorado has the 2nd and i think 12th pick? rumor stasny was avilable at the deadline. devils grab him and the 12th pick for the 4th and something else obviously...helps both teams avs take a winger with 2 in hangeskok and their center at 4. devils can get their center and add some defense at a still very high pick at 12. thing is though would you rather have satsny over coutourier? as center?

If you could trade our pick for Stastny, they should do it instantly. Draft picks are nice and shiny, but Stastny is a legit, legit talent and most importantly a known element.

However, I don't think that trading down 8 spots would net Stastny. It would probably have to be us giving up the pick for Stastny straight up.

I don't know about that. Stastny's a p/g player, and 25. I think it would take something more like Zajac + our 4th overall.

That's a pretty steep price though for stasny...having the 2nd and 4th picks would go a long way to helping any team out.

No brainer you make that trade. No guarantee on prospects, we've seen that Stastny is a very capable player. And we still get a good pick.

cant draft a wing thats for sure esp left wing...so if hadeskog is the only one left meaning larrson coutourier hopkins are all gone yikes thats worse case. not because he wont be good just because we dont need him if we have kovalchuk for 14 more years and parise for long term too
