But we will be 11-1.

Loss will come either against Ohio State or Michigan.

Also, 11-1 with a loss to Ohio State or Michigan will have us right up there in the discussion for the 4 team playoff.

You guys sell yourselves pretty short, I think yall should get to 8 wins pretty easily. I would go with 9-10. Denard sucks. You guys are giving him way to much credit. Don't sleep on R-Kansas St. though.

I figured it would go well in this thread RA. So here you go.

The coin flip games in my opinion are Michigan St (I give Michigan St the edge with it being at East Lansing and that defense they will have. Their offense will be shaky to start the season but by November they may be clicking), UCLA (They will be more than fired up for this game with a new coach and us coming to town), Iowa, and Northwestern. I see us losing to Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio St.

What will the DL do? Will they actually improve? What about the LBs without David there? The secondary without Dennard? The secondary does not have a guy that is ready to absolutely shut down or even go toe to toe with an opponents #1 like Dennard did and could with guys like Cunningham, McNutt, and Jeffery. Stafford is a player but has a tendency to get beat deep. The defense may have talent but going into the season they are still question marks filled with uncertainty or for some of you, a hope, prayer, and blind faith.

The offense has a ton of returning experienced talent but should we just automatically believe that once the real bullet start flying that Taylor wont revert back to his old tendencies? The WRs are crazy talented but will they catch the ball? Will the coaching staff actually get the real playmakers on the field? Will they wait until the end of the season again to realize Kyler Reed is wide open?

I just see a lot of question marks with the team and coaching staff. I am not one to buy into the "reported" hype crap because they aren't going to say guys are practicing poorly. I hope all my questions are easy to answer and Nebraska wins every game. I just don't see it going into the season.

Fair enough. We're only off 1 game in our predictions.

I've got similar concerns and have given them considerable thought.

They had a lot of injuries on defense last year and needed to plug holes. Add to that the need to somewhat retool/scheme for BiG 10 play..I realize we have a new d-coord for 2012, but it's still Bo's defense that papoop is overseeing.

They had a new offense installed last year and a 2 year soph QB.

All things considered, I think NU may have somewhat over-achieved w/ a 9-3 conference record. (Ohio St)

Looking at some of the spring practice tape, I see a bigger (physically) NU team than I've seen in a while. Not getting pushed around so much will reduce some mistakes.

I don't expect NU to take a step backwards in 2012 is all.

I can see sideways tho.ie..9-3 worst case.

I'm sticking with 6-6 with future losses with whiskey, osu, Michigan, Michigan lite, and probably northwestern.

I'm sticking w/ 9-3

We have some good skill players on offense that will make some plays and win some close ones that we'd have lost in the last couple years.

Let's face it...The rest of the BiG 10 aren't barn burners either.

I am sticking at 8-4. I don't think we beat tOSU, MSU and right now Michigan. It really hasn't changed. I was thinking splitting USM and UCLA and we did. I may adjust Michigan to a win soley because we managed to stay close this week. Right now though I think we still have a problem with winning. We come out after a great game looking like shit. We don't know how to win and that will cost us again.
